Greetings dear friends! Advertising on the Internet is one of the most
most common ways to finance the content we consume daily. But in some cases, ads can cause annoyance, risk, and excessive resource consumption. If you want to prevent ads from invading your Android browsing experience. One option you can consider using is AdGuard DNS. A free service that blocks online advertising and tracking. In this post, we will you how to block advertising on Android using DNS. We will focus on the solution proposed by AdGuard: a DNS that will only take you a couple of minutes to set up on your Android device to get rid of all ads.

What is DNS and how does it work?

DNS stands for Domain Name System. It is a system
that allows you to assign readable names to the IP addresses of devices connected to the Internet. In this way, users can access websites, online services, or network resources using easy-to-remember names, such as www.bing.com, rather than long and complex numbers, such as 204.79.197.200.

The way DNS works is based on a hierarchy of servers distributed around the world. They store and update information about names and associated IP addresses. When a user enters a domain name in his browser, the DNS system looks up the server that contains the information about that domain and returns the IP address. Thus, the browser can then establish a connection to the server hosting the requested website and display its content to the user.

How to use AdGuard’s DNS service on your Android phone

The AdGuard DNS is an alternative service to the one offered by our Internet provider or our router. In addition to performing the basic function of resolving domain names, it also filters the requests that are made to advertising and tracking servers. Preventing them from being loaded on our device. Thus, we can surf the Internet without seeing ads or being tracked by third parties.

Follow the steps below to use the AdGuard DNS service:

First step

Go to the Settings application on your Android phone.

How to block advertising on Android using DNS

Second step

Then go to Network & Internet>Advanced>Private DNS. You can get to this option easier and faster by typing “Private DNS” in the search box of the Settings app.

Private DNS

Third step

After that, once you have selected Private DNS, tap on “Private DNS provider hostname”.

Private DNS provider hostname

Fourth step

Now, you have to enter the AdGuard DNS address:

dns.adguard.com (to block advertising and tracking).

AdGuard DNS

Fifth step

Finally, click on Save and that’s it!

click on Save and that’s it!

With these steps, you will have already activated AdGuard DNS on your Android device. And you can enjoy cleaner and safer browsing. Of course, keep in mind that this method only works if you have Android 9 or higher, and that it may not be compatible with some public or private WiFi networks that require specific configuration.

Alternatively, you can activate this DNS from a more intuitive interface with the AdGuard app that you can download from Google Play.

Google Play | AdGuard for Android

Is it safe to use the AdGuard DNS service?

The dns.adguard.com is a public DNS service that protects against tracking, phishing, and malware. According to its website, dns.adguard.com uses encryption and does not keep any logs of user queries. However, as with any DNS service, there is a risk of bugs, unwanted failures, delays, or crashes. It is therefore recommended to
use dns.adguard.com with caution and verify its reliability and performance before relying on it for browsing. Thank you for reading us. Goodbye!

Greetings friends! Privacy is one of the most important issues when you lend your phone to someone. Commonly, we feel uncomfortable because this person can invade our privacy. They may start checking things that they shouldn’t, such as settings. For this, there is a solution that has been available since Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has been refined over the years. We are talking about multiple users, also known as “second space”. In this way, we create an account for the person to whom we often lend our device, so that we do not have to worry about anything. In this article, we will show you how to create multiple users in Android 14.

What are multiple users for?

Multiple users are used to give third parties access to your Android device. Perfect if you want to limit the access that these people have to it. In this case, the second user will not be able to access all settings. As long as some of the spaces on the device are restricted by the administrator.

In this way, it is possible to separate the information from the regular user and protect it at all times. At the same time, the second user can use the phone with basic functions. Necessary if you need to make a call, send an e-mail, and do other things that can be done by the account created by the owner of the phone.

The limitation always starts from basic aspects, you will see a more limited desktop, having only a few applications. These include the phone, messages, and email (you need to log in to this service). Depending on what the administrator has configured, you may or may not be limited to other tasks.

How to create multiple users in Android 14

This process may vary slightly depending on the level of customization each phone has. However, it is essentially always the same. It depends on the manufacturer and model of the phone. That is what matters in the end.

For pure Android phones, such as the Google Pixel, all you need to do is follow the steps below:

First step

Go to the settings of your Android device

settings

new user

From this point, you can tap the “switch to new user” button to enter the second space.

How to create a guest account

Another option that Android 14 gives you is the ability to create a guest account. This is the same as a multi-user account, with the only difference being that when the guest finishes his session, the second space is deleted and neither his data nor the applications he has installed are saved. This option is ideal if you want to lend your phone to a third person for a short period and do not want to create a permanent account. It does not take up any space on your device.

To activate the guest account, follow the steps below:

First step

Go to Settings>System>Multiple users.

Second step

Then tap the “Guest” option. You will notice that the guest account is automatically created and the system invites you to switch to the guest account. That’s it!

Guest

Multiple users

Greetings friends! A common problem for Android users. It is to find a free VPN that works without problems. In addition to being ad-free and from a reliable source. Therefore, in this post we will show you how to use Opera Free VPN on your Android device. A VPN that comes integrated with the mobile version of the Opera web browser. It is an option that you should consider and it will most likely suit your needs. We will tell you more about it below.

What is a VPN and what is it for?

Let’s start with a brief review of what a VPN is, for all those people who are not very clear about this concept. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which, in simple terms, is a space created with an extension of your local connection that hides your real location and encrypts your data.

In other words, a VPN is a security tool that hides your data from any software that wants to access it. It also alters your IP to make it look like you are connected from somewhere else. The intention is to keep your data safe from any malicious website or person. Opera offers its users a completely free VPN that is already included in its browser.

VPNs have many advantages, however, they are not perfect and there are some not-so-beneficial aspects of using VPNs. We invite you to read on to learn more about these private networks.

How to activate Opera VPN on Android?

The VPN button is within easy reach and you just have to press it to activate it every time you want an extra touch of security in your browsing.

To activate Opera VPN on an Android phone, follow the steps below:

First step

Download and install Opera browser by following the link below:

Google Play | Opera browser with AI

Google Play

Second step

Then log in to the Opera browser and click on your profile icon in the lower right corner.

Opera browser

Third step

After that, select the option that says VPN.

VPN

Fourth step

Once you have activated the VPN for the first time, you can check the settings to make sure they are correct. The next time you want to access these settings, you can press and hold the VPN icon.

check the settings

Fifth step

Finally, you can choose the virtual location, which defaults to America. You can also set the VPN to be active only for incognito windows. And that’s it!

virtual location

VPN

Just like that, the free VPN of the Opera app on Android will be activated. It’s important to mention that this VPN doesn’t have a lot of customization options, however, it does the main job, that is, protecting your data.

Is it possible to activate a free VPN in Opera GX and Opera Mini?

Opera has several versions of its browsers, each version has a different mission and has different functions, depending on what its users are looking to achieve. The other versions of Opera are Opera GX and Opera Mini, both of which are very good alternatives, but neither has a free VPN integrated. So if you want to be able to have a VPN while using some of these other two versions of Opera, you will have to resort to a third-party VPN. But don’t worry, there are many other free VPNs for Android, you just have to find the one that works best for you. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!

Greetings friends! Telegram supports an option to delete the cache from the app that is much more certain. In addition to offering the ability to set occupancy limits. There are many ways to free up storage space on Android. But after several years you realize that the culprit of running out of space is the cache. More in the case of applications like Telegram that are in daily use. And that unconsciously is consuming space on your Android device. In this post, we will show you how to free up space on Telegram for Android. When using Telegram you will realize that gradually accumulates a lot of space. And it doesn’t matter if the app stores chats on its servers. Since there is always a certain part that remains in the internal memory. Fortunately, it is easy (and painless) to remove that part.

The best option is to delete the Telegram cache using the app itself

The cache is a part of the phone’s internal storage in which certain files are stored. Of a temporary nature generally, they serve to optimize the performance of the apps. However, they can end up being counterproductive if they take up too much space. That is why freeing this memory is key on many occasions, especially in the case of apps that consume as much space as Telegram.

As standard, we know a generic method to clear the cache memory of apps on Android, which is to go to the phone settings. However, Telegram is one of the exceptions in that it is also allowed to empty from the app and more effectively. And the latter is not a saying, since, as you can see, you can delete much more data than from the phone settings.

So that you can achieve your task and delete your Telegram cache, you just have to follow the following steps:

First step

In Telegram, open the drop-down menu on the left. Then enter the “Settings” section.

How to free space on Telegram for Android

Second step

After that, go to the “Data and Storage” section.

Data and Storage

Third step

Next, now click on “Storage usage”.

Storage usage

Fourth step

Finally, press the “Clear cache” button.

Clear cache

Don’t forget to set limits for Telegram

After you already know how to clear the cache manually in Telegram. Perhaps it is also interesting to set a limit so that it does not occupy more than a certain amount of space. So you will not have to be constantly aware of the memory occupied by the application.

To achieve this, you must return to the same menu as before (Data and storage). But instead of just hitting the “Clear Cache” button. You should slide down and until you see the “Maximum cache size” option. The convenient thing to do would be to move the bar and set it to 5 GB, which is the minimum you can set. Another setting that may benefit you is to disable the automatic downloading of media files. This way, when you receive a lot of files they will not be downloaded automatically. And you can manually choose which files you want to download. This setting can also be found in the “Data and Storage” section.

Once you have followed the steps in this article. It is advisable to keep checking the cache space occupied by Telegram from time to time and you can delete it if you see it necessary. However, you can now rest easy knowing that it will not get out of control. At most, it will take up 5 GB, which is already quite a lot in itself. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!

Greetings folks! Saving battery on Android is as simple as stopping using your phone or turning it off completely. That’s obvious, but there are ways to make better use of milli amps without having to do without basic use of your smartphone. There is a way to save a lot of battery by removing a couple of options that come by default in Developer Options. At the same time, you’ll save mobile data. The system offers several saving modes that can be activated if the percentage drops dangerously below 10%. For example; you can restrict the use of background apps and reduce the screen brightness. Both are visible options that help extend battery life, although other settings are not so obvious. In this post, we will show you how to save battery and mobile data with 2 hidden settings in Android 14.

Blocking the permanent mobile data connection

Wireless connections are an essential part of smartphones, especially after the progressive popularization of apps connected at all times. Android searches for a tower to connect to, tries to locate known WiFi networks and, on top of that, performs both tasks constantly and by default. Restricting this operation will have positive effects on battery saving without wasting more than a few minutes each day.

Increasing battery life is possible with two hidden settings on your Android that will help you.

In the Developer Options, several settings allow you to get some more autonomy. And two of these options are practical: “Mobile data always active” and “Wi-Fi scan throttling”. Both are intended to reduce the time away from an active Internet connection, but they can be switched off without reducing the usage experience too much. We find this highly recommended.

Here’s how to disable both network features from Developer Options:

First step

To begin with, it is essential to enable the “Developer options”. To do this, go to the settings of your Android. Then find the “About phone” section. Next, locate the “Build number” and press that option 7 times until you see a message saying “You are now a developer”. This activates the “Developer options”. There is a possibility that you will have to authorize unlocking your phone.

You are now a developer

Second step

Then go back to the main “Settings” menu and go to the “System” section to locate the new “Developer options”. For each brand of phone, this may vary: they are usually located under “System”.

Developer options

Third step

After that, swipe down in the Developer Options menu until you find the “Wi-Fi scan throttling” setting and enable it.

Wi-Fi scan throttling

Fourth step

Finally, just look for the “Mobile data always active” option and turn it off. And that’s it!

How to save battery and mobile data with 2 hidden settings in Android 14

Conclusion

By configuring these two functions of WiFi and mobile connectivity in the background your Android device will stop searching for networks constantly and, when connected to a known WiFi, it will disable mobile data so as not to waste resources when they are unnecessary (you can also completely disconnect the WiFi and activate it only when you are under your known networks). In return, it may take a few seconds longer than usual for your phone to connect to the Internet when you leave the WiFi coverage, nothing that would be problematic. Remember to try these options and let us know your experience in the comments. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!

Greetings friends! Spotify has a rather curious feature that is not often taken into account. At least not as much as it should be. In case you haven’t heard yet, Spotify has its own QR codes. For each of the songs available on the streaming music platform. Nowadays the popularity of QR codes is on the rise. This feature is dedicated to facilitating the sharing of your favorite songs in a more aesthetic and visually appealing way. Leaving aside the classic links. So, in this post, we will show you how to generate and scan Spotify QR codes on your Android phone. I also include a method to do the same thing on a PC. If you also want to take advantage of the web version of Spotify and achieve the same result. Read on to find out!

How to generate Spotify QR codes from your Android phone

Spotify QR codes are a quick and easy way to share music with others. These codes can be scanned with your phone’s camera or the Spotify app, and take you directly to the song, album, artist, or playlist you want to share.

Creating the Spotify code for your favorite song from your mobile is very easy. All you have to do is follow these steps:

How to create Spotify codes from your computer

Although the Spotify PC application doesn’t have a built-in function to create codes like the mobile one, this doesn’t mean you can’t do it from your computer. There is a website that generates Spotify codes for free so you can use it:

Open the Spotify application on your PC and search for the song you want the code for.

Press the options button>Share>Copy song link.

Now, open the Spotify Codes website and paste the link in the box.

Finally, click on Get Spotify Code and the Spotify code will be created and you can download it by clicking on Download.

Conclusion

As you may have noticed the process is quite simple and fast. A Spotify option that we invite you to try. To greatly improve the way you share the music you usually listen to every day. Also scanning the code works excellently and quickly loads the song that was shared. Finally, if you were left with the desire to generate a QR code from your PC remember that you can also do it the important thing is to have several options. And that the result is satisfactory.
Second step

Then what you have to do when you open the app is to click on the Settings button and then enable the option “Quick launch when your device is plugged and charging”.

Quick launch when your device is plugged and charging

Display over other apps

What makes this app stand out from the handful of iOS 17 sleep mode clones that are already populating Google Play? Is that it’s pretty polished in that it can be set to automatically launch when you put the phone on charge. Something we haven’t seen in other similar apps. In addition, it has a feature that allows you to protect the screen against a possible burn. As we commented, you can try the app without problems without paying and ads appear very occasionally. However if duplicate iOS 17 sleep mode is something of interest, you can always opt to purchase the Pro version which you will surely not regret. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!

Greetings friends! Spyware is malicious software that can collect the information you have stored on your phone, tablet, or computer to send it to a third party. Generally, it usually masquerades as an ordinary application so that you are not aware of its presence. A well-known example of Spyware is WebDetective, which compromised the information of more than 70.000 users. Because there are always reports that warn about the appearance of new malware and spyware. In this post, we will show you how to know if your Android phone is infected with Spyware and how to fix it.

How to tell if your Android phone was infected with Spyware

Now that you know what Spyware is and why it can be so harmful. We can now explain how you can tell if your Android phone was infected by Spyware. The good news is that it’s not a difficult thing to do. It’s all a matter of knowing the signs that your phone is infected:

Your phone gets very hot.

The apps you use every day run slower than normal and so does the operating system.

Your battery and mobile data last less than usual.

You get a lot of pop-up messages.

You have installed apps that you do not remember installed. Pay special attention to apps with the following names: mSpy, XNSPY, CocoSpy, or Hoverwatch.

The last condition does not necessarily have to be met because this type of malware can disappear from the main screen to run in the background. Also, it does not necessarily have to have those particular names.

How to remove Spyware on Android

In case you have the signs that we have mentioned to you, your mobile is likely infected with spyware. In that case, you should do the following:

First step

Press the power button on your phone until you get the menu to turn it off or restart it.

How to know if your Android phone is infected with Spyware and how to fix it.

Second step

Then press and hold on the screen the option to turn off your smartphone until you see the “Safe mode” option. When you do that your phone will reboot.

Safe mode

On Xiaomi devices, the process is a bit different. Just turn off your device, Once it has turned on before the MIUI logo appears, press the volume down button.

Third step

After that, the next thing is to go to the “Settings” section and then enter “Applications”. If you see any apps that you don’t remember installing, don’t hesitate to delete them. When you are done, restart your mobile to exit Safe Mode.

Applications

Remove administrator privileges from unknown apps

Sometimes, Spyware can be installed on your smartphone with administrator privileges. In this way, it has access to the operating system settings and even to the deletion of data. If you want to find out if you have Spyware with administrator privileges and also stop it from running, here’s what you need to do:

Go to the “Settings” section, then to “Security & Privacy” and then to “Other security settings”.

There you will see several options, but the one you should enter is one called “Administrator Apps”.

The last thing is to disable administrator privileges for any unknown app.

Remove administrator privileges from unknown apps

If there is any app that you have doubts about, search Google for information about that application to confirm if it is a system app or Spyware. We also recommend that you put your phone back into Safe Mode to try to remove that application. Remember to keep your phone updated with the latest version of the operating system. Which usually include security patches. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!

Hello friends! How to create folders on Android is a recurring question. Not because it’s complicated, but because we don’t often create them. While this process is on the computer, it is something that is done constantly. On your Android device, this is not always the case. If you are interested in knowing the methods for this, you should read this note to the end. There are all kinds of users, from those who have their files and apps cluttered to those who need to have everything organized. If you are of the second type, then you should learn how to create folders on Android. You won’t believe how simple the procedures you are about to perform are. In this post, we will teach you how to create folders on your Android device.

Types of folders on your Android device

Possibly, you are used to seeing only one type of folder, but this only happens on the computer. On the phone, there are several types, but we will focus on two main ones, the ones that contain files and the ones that appear in your menus to organize the apps. Folders or directories are used in computing to organize the data contained within the computer. A good example of this would be the disorder that would exist if they did not exist, imagine having all your photos along with the boot files of your computer. This methodology also allows for optimized operation when running processes. In general, there is only one folder, however, due to their functionality, location, and environment, they are classified separately. Another reason to separate them is the procedure necessary for their creation, which I detail below.

Create folders for your apps

If you are one of those who can’t conceive of clutter in your apps, then this method is for you. The idea is to structure folders according to the type of applications they will contain. For example, you can add all your social networks in one folder, payment options in another, and messaging systems in a separate one.

The steps to achieve this type of folder are very simple. But just in case, I show you step-by-step how to achieve it.

First step

Enter the area where the apps are located, usually on the home screen or in the application drawer, if you have it enabled.

home screen

Second step

Then to create the folder, it is necessary to start with two apps. Later we can add more apps. Simply hold down on the first app and drag it to the second app.

two apps

Third step

After that, we will simply drop it. Automatically, the two apps will appear together in a folder. The default name is “Folder”.

Folder

Create folders for files

In case you want to have a series of folders to organize your files. It is also possible to do this. To do this, we will need a file manager, these come pre-installed on various phone models. And in other cases, we can simply download it directly from Google Play.

In this opportunity, I will assume that you have one installed on your phone and there is no need to look for a new one. The steps you must follow are as follows:

First step

Access the file manager of your Android phone. There will be no major change between one app and another, you can change the interface a little bit.

file manager

Greetings friends! Today we are going to show you how to share your phone number with another Android using QR codes. In different ways so that you have options at your fingertips to give you visibility. Whether you want to share your number via WhatsApp using a QR code or you are looking for other alternatives. We are going to explain to you how to share your phone number with another Android simply using QR codes. One of the advantages of QR codes is that any phone with a camera can use them, so you don’t have to worry about anything. Read on to find out how.

Advantages of sharing your contact via QR code

There are many advantages of sharing a contact via QR. For example, instead of dictating or manually typing in a phone number, email, or address. You can simply generate a QR code and the other person will get the information in seconds. This can be very useful in certain situations. Maybe you’ve met someone and want to keep talking to him or her. Or you’ve discovered that employee you’ve been looking for and don’t want to miss the opportunity. At conferences, trade shows, or networking meetings, sharing a QR code (e.g. on a business card) is a modern and effective way of transmitting your contact details.

In addition, by avoiding the need for manual data entry, it reduces the risk of typos or mishearing. It is especially useful when dealing with complex or lengthy information. Sharing contacts by QR can make things much easier.
