<p>Greetings friends! The cell phones of the Chinese brand <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-download-your-photos-from-xiaomi-cloud-before-it-closes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>. They are considered among the best options that you can currently find in the market for several reasons.<strong> A clear example is their classic quality-to-price ratio.</strong> The support they give to the devices they release to the market. And of course its durability. And we can not forget the possibility of being able to customize it easily. In this post, we will teach you how to install themes using MIUI Themer on a Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phone. A not so well known way to install themes that if you are a MIUI user will be useful for you.</p>

<h2>Everything you need to know about MIUI Themer</h2>

<p>MIUI Themer is an Internet platform on which a large number of themes are collected. It also includes fonts and wallpapers for Xiaomi cell phones. Also its sub-brands (Redmi and POCO). This page has a great advantage over others. And it is the fact that its huge collection of themes is constantly updated and expanded with more and more themes.</p>

<p>Using MIUI Themer is also very simple and it is more convenient when you do it directly from the phone. All you have to do is directly access the official MIUI Themer page and start searching. The platform is excellently managed. So that it is easy for users to get the styles they are looking for. </p>

<p>For example, you can find rankings based on other Android customization layers like:</p>

<ul><li>MIUI 14</li><li>One UI</li><li>PIXEL</li><li>EMUI</li></ul>

<p>Of course, these are not the only classifications and labels there are in MIUI Themer (there is also an iOS-style theme classification). But it will help you get an idea of the kind of themes you can find on their site. It also has sections that group themes based on the most downloaded of the season, the most recent, etc.</p>

<h2>How to install a theme using MIUI Themer?</h2>

<p>To install a theme on a Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO using MIUI Themer you must follow the steps below:</p>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, swipe down and press the button that says <em>&#8220;Official Theme Store Link&#8221;</em>.<br></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-39516" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_02.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Official Theme Store Link</figcaption></figure>

<p>This will give you two options, download the theme from the official Xiaomi website, or do it using the Themes app on your phone. For convenience, we recommend you use the app.</p>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Once in the application, click on the <em>&#8220;download&#8221;</em> icon that has the word <em>&#8220;Free&#8221;</em> next to it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-461x1024.jpg" alt="download" class="wp-image-39517" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MTX_03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Download</figcaption></figure>

<p>Hello friends! If you have problems with your <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-enable-gesture-shortcuts-on-xiaomi-redmi-and-poco-phones/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>phone constantly turning on Bluetooth without your request. <strong>We have some solutions that can help you.</strong> We understand how frustrating it can be for you to know that certain functions on your phone are being performed without your consent. Not to mention that keeping Bluetooth on is not always a good idea. That&#8217;s why in this post we&#8217;ll walk you through the process of solving this problem.</p>

<h2>Possible reasons</h2>

<p>To more accurately determine your location, some location apps or apps like <a href="http://instagram.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram </a>and Snapchat use Bluetooth search. This is a simple feature that allows your phone to connect to nearby devices. At a time when you want to better calculate your current location. For example, file transfer apps like &#8220;ShareMe&#8221; or &#8220;Nearby Share&#8221; often use Bluetooth and location to work. In most cases, Bluetooth scanning is the reason why many people complain about Bluetooth being turned on without their consent. Fortunately, this can be easily resolved. It is even possible that your phone is doing this without your knowledge because Bluetooth simply turns on during such a scan and then turns off.<br></p>

<p>Likewise, whether you notice it or not, if you don&#8217;t want this feature to continue, all you need to do, then perform the following steps to cancel the Bluetooth search activation:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Go to your device&#8217;s <em>Settings</em></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-461x1024.jpg" alt="Settings The Bluetooth of my Xiaomi" class="wp-image-38859" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Settings</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then go to the <em>&#8220;Location&#8221;</em> section(It is down in the settings list).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-461x1024.jpg" alt="Location The Bluetooth of my Xiaomi" class="wp-image-38860" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR02.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Location</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step<br></h3>

<p>After that, click on <em>&#8220;Location Services&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-461x1024.jpg" alt="Location Services" class="wp-image-38861" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Location Services</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Finally, go to the <em>&#8220;Bluetooth Scanning&#8221;</em> option, disable the option and you&#8217;re done.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-461x1024.jpg" alt="Bluetooth Scanning" class="wp-image-38862" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Bluetooth Scanning</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Check app permissions</h2>

<p>In many cases, Bluetooth problems can start after installing a new app on your phone. So you should check the permissions granted to that app. If you are not sure which particular app may be causing the problem. The best thing to do is to access your phone&#8217;s general permissions. In the permissions section, you can decide how to deal with the problem. For example, if you think an app is suspicious, you can block its Bluetooth access. On the other hand, if you want apps to prompt you before changing the Bluetooth status, you can do so. You can also opt for a simpler option and limit it to all applications.<br></p>

<p>To enter the phone&#8217;s permissions manager and start this process, follow these steps:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Go to Settings and go to the <em>&#8220;Apps&#8221;</em> section.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-461x1024.jpg" alt="Apps" class="wp-image-38863" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/BXR05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Apps</figcaption></figure>

A menu will open with the gestures that you have not yet assigned to any action. You can choose the gesture you want and then select the action you want it to perform.<br></p>

<ul><li>Take a screenshot</li><li>Turn on the flashlight</li><li>Display the Control Center</li><li>Display the Notification Bar</li><li>Launch Google Assistant</li><li>Open the camera</li><li>Open the Calculator</li><li>Activate silent mode</li><li>Get records related to the problem</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-461x1024.jpg" alt="Always on display &amp; Lock screen" class="wp-image-38420" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Always on display &amp; Lock screen</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Finally, all that&#8217;s left is to enable the option and you no longer have to worry about making accidental calls.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="472" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT04-472x1024.jpg" alt="Pocket mode" class="wp-image-38433" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT04-472x1024.jpg 472w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT04-138x300.jpg 138w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/PCT04.jpg 498w" sizes="(max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px" /><figcaption>Pocket mode</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Pocket mode is not always available</h2>

<p>A few years ago, it was common for virtually all phones to customization of the Android system. They had this pocket mode among the settings. However, since we could verify the latest models of Poco and Redmi. This model is not available in the settings. Xiaomi may have discarded it because it started using ultrasonic proximity sensors. Which unfortunately are not as effective as traditional sensors. </p>

<p>Since we couldn&#8217;t activate it, we tried to recreate accidental touches with the phone in the pocket and there was no case because the phone didn&#8217;t turn on. Of course, we performed these tests with the <em>&#8220;tap to turn on&#8221;</em> feature active. As in MIUI double-tap on the screen to unlock. However, you might not trust your phone to prank you and end up accidentally calling or texting. So, one way to avoid this would be to always keep a screen lock and minimize the time the screen turns off when you&#8217;re not using it. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! It is possible to remove the most sensitive permissions to applications that do not need them. To thus protect your privacy to the maximum. Permissions management has been a particular section of <a href="http://mi.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>phones. Even before <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-share-photos-with-google-photos/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google </a>bet on introducing this feature natively in Android. You could say that Xiaomi was a little ahead of the curve thanks to this feature. Right now, it has several sections to manage them. Within the MIUI settings, you can find a section intended for the so-called special permissions<strong>. In this post, we show you how to manage special permissions in MIUI.</strong> This way you can make your phone more secure and deny them to apps that you consider do not need them to perform their main function.</p>

<h2>How to manage special permissions in Xiaomi</h2>

<p>Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones share many of the settings and features offered by MIUI. Therefore special permissions are no exception. To access these just follow these steps:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Open Settings.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-461x1024.jpg" alt="Open Settings. manage special permissions in MIUI" class="wp-image-38201" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Open Settings.</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then go to the <em>&#8220;Privacy Protection&#8221;</em> section.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-461x1024.jpg" alt="Privacy Protection" class="wp-image-38202" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP02.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Privacy Protection</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, click on <em>&#8220;Special permissions&#8221;</em>. Once you open this section you will have access to the different permissions that the company catalogs as special and to which it gives greater importance, such as access to all files on the phone, which few or no applications should ask for.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-461x1024.jpg" alt="Special permissions" class="wp-image-38203" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Special permissions</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Finally, you just have to examine each of the permissions to see which apps have them granted. This way you can decide whether to remove them or not, always thinking about protecting your privacy, which is the most important thing.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-461x1024.jpg" alt="How to manage special permissions in MIUI" class="wp-image-38204" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>How to manage special permissions in MIUI</figcaption></figure>

<p><br>If you open the menu of the three dots at the bottom of the screen of each permission. You will be able to show the apps of the system and remove or grant them the permissions you deem necessary.</p>

<h2>Authorization and revocation of usage data in MIUI</h2>

<p>Another option that Xiaomi has is the authorization and revocation of usage data. Which will allow you to revoke permission to collect your usage data for some apps. We&#8217;ll show you how to take advantage of this option to restrict what your apps know about you. It is one of the most interesting security-related options that you can take advantage of in apps that you don&#8217;t use. You can revoke the permissions to collect usage data that you have granted to some apps on your Xiaomi phone. These are not conventional permissions that you will find in the settings section. Rather, they are found in a different section. Follow these steps:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Open Settings.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-461x1024.jpg" alt="Open Settings. manage special permissions in MIUI" class="wp-image-38201" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Open Settings.</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then tap <em>&#8220;Passwords &amp; privacy&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-38205" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, tap on <em>&#8220;Authorization &amp; revocation&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-38206" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP06.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /></figure>

<h3>Fourth step<br></h3>

<p>Finally, remove permissions from the apps you want.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-461x1024.jpg" alt="remove permissions from the apps you want." class="wp-image-38207" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/MSP07.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>remove permissions from the apps you want.</figcaption></figure>

<p><br>As you can see, the apps that appear in this section for you to grant or revoke their permissions are system apps. In many cases, you will not be able to use them if you do not grant them this permission, so you must choose well to which app you remove it.</p>

<p>This is an interesting option to remove permissions to system applications if you do not use them. Contributing to increasing your privacy in conjunction with the special permissions option. When you disable any switch, it will show you a warning that the data that has been previously collected will be deleted. And that the app in question will be rendered virtually unusable. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! You probably have a <a href="http://mi.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, Redmi, or POCO phone. Since the Asian manufacturer covers a large part of the mobile device market. It is possible to activate access to the camera. Which will allow you to open it in less than a second by simply pressing a button. Open the camera by double tapping on the buttons of your Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO mobile. <strong>It is feasible thanks to the MIUI gesture options.</strong> That allows you to take much less time to access this type of shortcut. These are not the only gestures available in the customized version of <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-prevent-your-android-apps-from-sharing-your-data-with-third-parties/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android </a>from the Chinese company. Since there are other actions, such as double tapping on the back of the screen, with which you will be able to save a lot of time.</p>

<h2>Quickly open the camera of your Xiaomi</h2>

<p>This is one of the best options that Xiaomi phones have. It serves to streamline the use of the phone and can give you time to run the camera app at the right time. If you want to open the camera of your Xiaomi mobile always on time, this option interests you, and much, as it will allow you to take photos and videos in less than a second, just by pressing twice one of the buttons of the mobile. Just follow these steps:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>To start, open the <em>&#8220;Settings&#8221;</em> app.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-461x1024.jpg" alt="To start, open the &quot;Settings&quot; app." class="wp-image-37739" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>To start, open the &#8220;Settings&#8221; app.</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then click on <em>&#8220;Additional settings&#8221;</em>.</p>

<h3>Fifth step</h3>

<p>Finally, select the option you prefer.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-461x1024.jpg" alt="Finally, select the option you prefer." class="wp-image-37743" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OTC05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Finally, select the option you prefer.</figcaption></figure>

<p>When you access this option, you will see that you can choose from several options such as: opening the camera by double-pressing the lock button. Also by pressing the volume down button. As long as the screen is off.</p>

<p>We recommend that you select the double tap on the volume down button. Since you can then have the flashlight triggered by double tapping the power button. And these two options can complement each other.</p>

<p>Now, just turn off the screen of your phone. Then double-tap the volume down button and you will notice how the device&#8217;s camera opens quickly so that you can capture anything happening around you.</p>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>Nowadays mobile device manufacturers like Xiaomi. They are responsible for providing customized versions of Android. With numerous functions. Functions that most of the time are usually somewhat hidden in some menu of the system. Because of this they go unnoticed and are not known by many users who probably need them. And they end up installing third-party apps to achieve the same result. But the reality is that you will always have better performance by taking advantage of the native system features. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! Smartphones have a lot of sensors with which they detect external conditions to act in different situations. A clear example is the one that measures the lighting. Thanks to this sensor, the screen adjusts the automatic brightness so that its content can be seen at any time of the day. It also helps to reduce battery consumption. A second, related sensor is usually located next to it: the proximity sensor. You are probably having problems when making and receiving calls with your <a href="http://mi.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, Redmi, or Poco. If the screen is activated and you end up hanging up the call, putting it on hold, or opening any other app. In this case, likely, your phone&#8217;s proximity sensor is not working properly. Therefore, in this post, we will teach you how to know if the proximity sensor of your Xiaomi, Redmi, or Poco is working properly.</p>

<h2>Proximity sensor or ultrasound sensor?</h2>

<p>Generally, <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-control-the-volume-of-each-app-on-xiaomi-phones/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">phones </a>include an infrared sensor under the glass of the screen. This sensor is responsible for detecting the proximity of the face. It achieves this by emitting infrared light to capture it back: only when there is something nearby that reflects it (the face) the proximity sensor detects it; telling the phone to turn off the screen. This sensor is usually quite simple and is very rare to fail.</p>

<p>Xiaomi has now changed the proximity detection mechanism in its latest phones, especially those of the Redmi Note family (from the Redmi Note 10 onwards). We can also see how the Poco F3 features an ultrasonic sensor. Instead of including an infrared transmitter and receiver, Xiaomi makes use of the phone&#8217;s earpiece to emit ultrasounds, imperceptible to the human ear. If your face is close, the ultrasounds will bounce off your face, allowing the phone to capture them back to trigger the screen to turn off. Normally for this detection system to be activated, it is necessary to lift the phone. For this reason, it is usually not very accurate and tends to fail quite a lot. Since it can give the feeling that it has been damaged, it is best to check that it is working properly before sending it for repair, follow the steps below:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Open the <em>phone </em>app in your Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-461x1024.jpg" alt="Open the phone app" class="wp-image-35789" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Open the phone app</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then type <em>*#*#6484#*#*</em></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-461x1024.jpg" alt="Then type *#*#6484#*#*" class="wp-image-35790" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Then type *#*#6484#*#*</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, find the <em>&#8220;Proximity sensor&#8221;</em> option and tap on it to test the proximity detection. A menu should appear with a<em> &#8220;Pass&#8221;</em> and <em>&#8220;Fail&#8221;</em> in the bottom area. Also, some numbers are headed by a 5.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-461x1024.jpg" alt="After that, find the &quot;Proximity sensor&quot; option" class="wp-image-35791" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>After that, find the &#8220;Proximity sensor&#8221; option</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Finally, place the phone on a flat surface and bring the palm of your hand close to the top of the phone. When it is one or two centimeters away, the number should change to 0. If you move your hand closer and the 5 changes to 0, the proximity detection is correct. In case the 5 does not change, even if you cover the entire top of the phone with your hand, it means that it is not working properly.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-461x1024.jpg" alt="know if the proximity sensor" class="wp-image-35792" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Ps05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>know if the proximity sensor is working properly</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>Most probably, if your phone has ultrasonic proximity detection, you may experience the screen turning on during calls more than once because its operation is somewhat inaccurate. Unfortunately, there&#8217;s nothing you can do about it: you won&#8217;t be able to correct or calibrate it. One way to minimize these screen flares is to pay more attention to how you hold the phone. Hopefully, the Asian manufacturer will stop using this alternative which is usually not the most effective. Thanks for reading us. Bye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! The rollout of MIUI 13 continues and is starting to reach phones in different regions. If you are a <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-install-iphone-emojis-on-your-xiaomi-phone/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, POCO, or Redmi phone user and have not been keeping up with the updates, you may not know what is the current version of MIUI you have installed on your device. Knowing which version you have installed will help you estimate when you will receive MIUI 13. I<strong>t will also be useful to update manually much earlier</strong> <strong>instead of waiting for the OTA update</strong>. Therefore, in this post, we will show you how to find out which version of MIUI 13 you have and how to update it.</p>

<h2>What do the MIUI version letters mean?</h2>

<p>MIUI versions are composed of numbers and letters. The letters are usually more important as this tells us what version of Android the version we have installed is based on, for which mobile device it is intended, which region it is intended for, and from which developer it comes from.</p>

<p>The first letter indicates the Android version on which the ROM is based. For example, <em>&#8220;S&#8221;</em> means that we are dealing with Android version 12, <em>&#8220;R&#8221;</em> corresponds to Android Red Velvet Cake, <em>&#8220;L&#8221;</em> with Android Lollipop, and so on.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="428" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-1024x428.jpg" alt="Android 12 MIUI 13" class="wp-image-35249" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-1024x428.jpg 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-300x125.jpg 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-768x321.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-696x291.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1-1068x446.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi01-1.jpg 1079w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Android 12</figcaption></figure>

<p>Right after that, you will find the second and third letters that refer to which phone this version is intended for. Each device corresponds to a different set of letters, for example, a Poco X3 Pro corresponds to the letters <em>&#8220;JU&#8221;</em>, a Xiaomi Mi 11 corresponds to the letters <em>&#8220;KB&#8221;</em>, a Mi 10 to the letters<em> &#8220;JB&#8221;</em> or a Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G to the letters <em>&#8220;EM&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="447" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-1024x447.jpg" alt="Poco X3 Pro Miui 13" class="wp-image-35250" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-1024x447.jpg 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-300x131.jpg 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-768x335.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-696x304.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02-1068x466.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi02.jpg 1079w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Poco X3 Pro</figcaption></figure>

<p>Then when checking the fourth and fifth letters of the MIUI version, these correspond to the region that each ROM is targeted towards. There are several different regions in which this type of software is released.</p>

<ul><li>MI: Global</li><li>EU: European</li><li>CN: China</li><li>RU: Russian</li><li>ID: Indonesia</li><li>MX: Mexico</li><li>IN: India</li><li>TK: Turkey</li><li>TW: Taiwan</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="445" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-1024x445.jpg" alt="Global version MIUI 13" class="wp-image-35252" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-1024x445.jpg 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-300x130.jpg 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-768x334.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-696x303.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03-1068x464.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi03.jpg 1079w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Global version</figcaption></figure>

<p>Finally, the sixth and seventh letters correspond to the developer who has made the version in question. The most common is to find the letters &#8220;XM&#8221; that would correspond to a ROM developed by Xiaomi itself, but we can also find different letters that would correspond to a ROM customized by a phone carrier.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-1024x512.jpg" alt="Developer Xiaomi MIUI 13" class="wp-image-35253" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Developer Xiaomi </figcaption></figure>

<h3>Sixth step</h3>

<p>Finally, go back to the installer and now tap the <em>&#8220;Reboot and install&#8221;</em> button. If all goes well it should install without any problem and you will have MIUI 13 Global on your device. We also recommend doing a factory reset to fix bugs and have a cleaner update. Enjoy!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-461x1024.jpg" alt="tap the &quot;Reboot and install&quot; button" class="wp-image-35264" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Mi14.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Tap the &#8220;Reboot and update&#8221; button</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>This way it is quite easy to change the region without having to unlock the Bootloader and flash via Fastboot. It is best to have the Global ROM receive updates earlier. Thanks for reading us. Bye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! The manufacturer <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-extend-the-ram-of-your-xiaomi-phone/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>can be proud that MIUI is one of the most complete Android custom ROMs that exist. The integration with Mi accounts, will allow you to access a utility that allows you to track and locate your phone to find out where it is. Something very useful if you have lost it or it has been stolen. <strong>It is important to have your Mi account linked to your device, to take advantage of these functions</strong>. Therefore, in this post, we will show you how to track your Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone from your Mi account.</p>

<h2>Enable the Mi account on your phone</h2>

<p>In case you have a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone you can access the option to locate your phone thanks to MIUI. You must enable it for the first time to be able to use it later. To do this, the first thing is that you log in to your phone. If you do not have an account, create it from the Mi Account section in the settings. It is a fairly simple and quick process, but it is worth it because it will increase the security of your phone. Once you have done this, just follow these steps.</p>

<p>You should note that it is possible to activate an option to report the location automatically when the battery is low, as well as just before the phone is turned off. These are complementary options that it is advisable to activate to be forewarned if the phone is lost and the battery is low. This way you can get the last location of your phone before the battery runs out.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="473" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-473x1024.jpg" alt="enable the option" class="wp-image-34643" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-473x1024.jpg 473w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-138x300.jpg 138w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-768x1664.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-709x1536.jpg 709w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-945x2048.jpg 945w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-696x1508.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05-1068x2314.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px" /><figcaption>Enable the option</figcaption></figure>

<p>To disable the option on your phone, you will have to enter the password of your Mi account, so no one can disable this option on your phone or tablet unless they have your password.</p>

<h2>Track your Xiaomi phone from your Mi account</h2>

<p>After you have finished setting up your Mi account and initial settings. Now everything is set for you to locate your phone, something you can do both from another phone and a computer, as long as your smartphone is turned on and can access the location services. To do this, follow these steps:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Go to <a href="https://i.mi.com/?_locale=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">i.mi.com</a> and log in with your Xiaomi account</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-461x1024.jpg" alt="Go to i.mi.com and log in with your Xiaomi account" class="wp-image-34644" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX06.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Go to i.mi.com and log in with your Xiaomi account</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then click on <em>Find device</em></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-34645" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX07.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption> Then click on Find device </figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, you will access a map on which you will see the location of your smartphone or tablet. In addition to offering you the options to make it ring, lock it and put it in lost mode, or erase all the contents of the phone to safeguard your data.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-461x1024.jpg" alt="Track your Xiaomi phone!" class="wp-image-34646" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/TX08.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Track your Xiaomi phone!</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>Of course, having this option enabled does not mean that you will always be able to recover your phone. Because if someone finds it they can turn it off directly, but at least it gives you a chance to track it. In addition, when Xiaomi devices are linked to a Mi account it is much more complicated to factory reset them. Because every time it is restored it will ask you to log in with the Mi account. This is a smart way to protect your phone in case of lost or stolen. Thanks for reading us. Bye!</p>
