If you want to be safe when torrenting, you need to use a torrent proxy. You can set up your torrent proxy by choosing a port and IP address. Then, you’ll have to enter your password and username. After that, your tracker requests will be routed through your proxy. In this way, no one can see your real IP address.

Torrent Proxy

To access torrent files safely and anonymously, you must set up a proxy that is fast and secure. While some proxy services block torrenting, others will not. This is because torrenting involves downloading and uploading files from other users and sharing IP addresses. This can be a major security risk if your Internet service provider detects your IP address.

To use an adblocker, you need to choose an IP and port. You can also choose to use anonymous proxy with basic HTTP authentication. If you use this, you must also enter your username and password. Once the proxy is set, tracker requests will be routed through the proxy. This will ensure that your IP address is not leaked to other users.

BitTorrent Proxy

When you’re torrenting, you may want to use a proxy to protect your anonymity. A torrent proxy is a third-party server that routes traffic through an IP address other than your own. Whether you’re using an Android client or a Mac, a torrent proxy can help protect your online identity and keep you private while torrenting.

To set up a proxy, open uTorrent and find the Proxy Privacy settings menu. This is where you set up your proxy IP and port. If you’re using an anonymous proxy, you can also provide a username and password for your proxy. When you’re done, you can click OK. Your proxy settings are now saved.

VPN with uTorrent

When it comes to torrents, it’s important to make sure that you’re protected from being tracked by your ISP and other P2P hackers. A VPN for uTorrent or an ISP proxy will help you avoid these problems and enjoy censorship-free browsing. It will also keep your information private and anonymous. In addition to that, it can also protect you from copyright lawsuits and other online threats.

Most VPNs will also provide good security features. The most important is a no-logs policy, which means the VPN provider will not log your sessions. This way, it’s impossible to trace what you’re doing online. Some VPNs will even offer additional security features such as malware protection and ad blockers. These features can be useful if you’re torrenting on a regular basis.

SOCKS proxy

Setting up a SOCKS proxy for torrenting is as easy as if you want to buy usdt, it can be a great way to get faster download speeds. It also provides you with additional protection from copyright holders. SOCKS5 proxy servers are widely supported by BitTorrent clients. While these proxies aren’t foolproof, they can help keep your data safe from copyright holders.

A SOCKS proxy works by masking your IP address while using P2P applications. This type of proxy can be configured in your torrent client by entering your proxy IP address and port number. It may also require authentication. However, you should make sure that your torrent client supports proxy configurations.

Depending on your torrenting client, you may have to change some settings in your browser. You can do this by logging into your torrenting client and navigating to the settings page. For example, if you’re using uTorrent for OSX, you’ll need to change the settings in the Authentication tab. Then, you can check the “Use proxy for peer-to-peer connections” option. You may also want to check the “Disable all local DNS lookups” checkbox. After making these adjustments, you can start synchronizing your files.

NordVPN p2p isn’t encrypting your connection

NordVPN is one of the fastest VPN services available and comes with a lot of features. The service has a large network of servers, which means your download speeds won’t suffer. It also has a kill switch that prevents your connection from being logged. The service also offers unlimited peer-to-peer file sharing.

When it comes to torrenting, you might wonder if NordVPN supports it. Fortunately, you can download torrents using NordVPN. The company also offers a kill switch, which means that it will not block your connection during torrenting. Another benefit is that NordVPN’s P2P servers have no restrictions on bandwidth and speed. That means you’ll be able to download your torrents as fast as possible.

Although torrenting is legal, you’ll want to ensure that the VPN service you use does not track your torrenting activity. This is because torrents are peer-to-peer, and some countries restrict P2P traffic. This makes VPN services an ideal choice for those who want to keep their torrenting activity private.

How is it possible to easily know if the file I am receiving is legitimate? Is it possible to know if it has been corrupted while downloading it from the Internet? Yes, it is possible through its hash. Indeed, it works as an identification code of the data we are working with. If a certain source data is altered, this alphanumeric output code is completely altered. Below, we show you everything you need to know. In addition to the recommended tools to generate hashes when you need them. In the following lines, we will describe how to check the integrity of files with the hash.

What is a hash, and what is it for?

A hash is a cryptographic function that works only in one direction. That is, it is a mathematical algorithm that transforms any input block of data into a new series of output characters with a fixed or variable length. Therefore, a hash function is the result of a function that is responsible for converting one value into another. A significant detail is that hashes generally provide a fixed-length output. However, there are hash algorithms that are specifically designed to protect passwords. Consequently, in this case, the length of the output is variable.

One of the main purposes of such a hash function is to be able to check whether a file has been modified or not. The hash fingerprint of each file is unique. The hash actually generates a kind of code that serves as an identification of the data in question. In addition, with the hash of a given file, the original file cannot be recovered. For this reason, a good security practice is to store password hashes in databases. This way, no one can obtain the information in plain text. However, to crack this hash, what is done is to try thousands of combinations. It then proceeds to compare whether the hashes are the same.

Some uses of hashing

Hashes have many uses, such as the following:

Check the integrity of a file: The first thing to do is to hash a file. Then we copy it to another computer or anywhere else. Then, if you hash this copied file again, you should get the same result as the original hash function. As soon as a bit of changes in a file, the output of the hash we have used is entirely different. For this reason, hashing is essential in secure encryption protocols such as HTTPS or FTPES. In fact, it verifies that the data has not undergone any change in the communication. Hashes are also widely used in the world of computer forensics. In fact, they allow the chain of custody of a hard disk or a disk image to be properly performed, and to ensure that none of the content has been modified.

Store passwords securely: Simply hash a password. Then we store the result of this hash function in a database. Consequently, if an attacker accesses this database, he will not be able to recover the password. We must remember that hash functions only go one way. Therefore, it is not possible to “reverse” a hash function. Consequently, if a cybercriminal wants to crack the password, he will have to do a brute force and dictionary attack. So that he can compare the hash of each tested password with the password he got in the leak.

As you can see, hash functions are significant in the world of computer and network security. In fact, it allows you to check the integrity of transmitted data, not just data stored on a hard disk or SSD. Next, we will show you how to check the integrity of a file using different hashing algorithms.

SHA algorithms

SHA stands for Secure Hash Algorithm. It was developed by NIST, the National Institute for Standards and Technology. It is one of the most popular standardized algorithms today. One of the advantages is that at the slightest change in data integrity, the hash changes completely. SHA2-256, for example, is a standard that is being used nationally in the United States. Moreover, it is currently considered secure. It is called SHA2-256 because the hash it generates is 256 bits long.

Not only can you count on SHA2-256 hashes and other standards to check the integrity of files. The one we mentioned also has application in popular authentication and encryption protocols: SSL, TLS, IPSec, SSH and PGP. On the other hand, this algorithm is used to hash passwords, and store the hash and not the password in clear text. Especially on Linux and other operating systems, as well as in applications that store passwords in a database. The popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin uses this algorithm to verify every transaction in its network.

Tools to generate hashes online

Now that we have a clearer picture of what a hash is and what it is for, you can try some of the tools that generate hashes. This is the primary thing to do to check the integrity of the data you want. This way, you can easily check the integrity of the data you are working with.

File Checksum: It is a simple web tool that allows the generation of hashes. You only need to drag the file from the location where it is, to the website. Or, you can click on the box where it says, Drop File Here and upload the file. Not only can you generate hashes in SHA2-256, but also with other hash functions that exist. Specifically, 29 hash algorithms for both File and Plain Text Hashes. An important advantage is that you don’t need to register, just log in, and you can use it.

HTML5 File Hash Online Calculator: This is another website that does not require prior registration to generate file hashes. The algorithms it supports are MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512. It also has an algorithm that is described as the fastest implementation of SHA algorithms (WebCryptoAPI). In fact, it is applicable for files weighing less than 512 GB.

Defuse Online Text & File Checksum Calculator: Another tool you can find on the Internet to generate hashes. It supports ASCII or UNICODE text. Regarding files, it has no format limitations, but it does have size limitations (5 MB). One of its advantages is that neither the data nor the generated hashes are stored on the site’s server.

Programs to generate hashes (free)

There are not only web solutions for this purpose, but also executable programs that are usually effortless to use. In addition to the fact that downloading and installation is free of charge:

HashMyFiles: It is a portable program that allows the generation of hashes in massive form. That is, you can select more than one file at a time so that it can generate hashes for each one. It supports SHA (all variants) and CRC32 algorithms. It is possible to create access to HashMyFiles in the context menu. Consequently, every time you select files or even folders, you can count on this program to import them into it and create hashes. It is compatible with Windows from version 2000 onwards.

QuickHash: It is a multiplatform open-source program (available for Windows, Mac, and Linux). It is also characterized as one of the most complete solutions. Although it only supports popular algorithms such as MD5 and SHA2-256, it has particularities such as generating hash to an entire folder. It also allows you to compare two files, directories and even an entire storage disk. In case you need to hash the entire contents of a document, line by line, this application can do it.

Other programs

MultiHasher: This is another super compact and easy to use tool. It specializes in generating hashes massively, by folders and subfolders. It can even indicate the path of what we want to generate. Furthermore, it supports all known algorithms.

MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility: It is a free software that generates SHA-512, SHA-1, MD5, SHA-256 hash types from a given file. It also verifies the integrity of the file. For hash verification, or to generate a hash, you must select the desired file. Then select one of these two hashes, SHA-1 or MD5. Subsequently, you must click verify or copy to verify the integrity of the file or generate the hash.

Hello friends! Android Debug Bridge for short “ADB”, is a system that allows communication and control of an Android device via command line. Although it is more geared towards developers, it is so versatile that it is useful for the end-user as well. It is also possible to use ADB as an alternative to Root Access. To perform some system-level tasks that by default we do not have sufficient permissions to perform. It also serves to install system updates manually or even record the video screen without installing anything. The best of all is that nowadays using ADB is available to all users. In this post, we will show you how to connect your Android phone to your PC using ADB.

Get ADB

Initially, you need the ADB files. Previously it was necessary to download the Android SDK. Nowadays it is not necessary, but it is important to emphasize that if you have Android Studio installed, it will not be necessary to download it since the ADB files are located in Windows, in the path C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools. In case you do not plan to develop Android apps, but still want to make use of ADB. But without having to install an IDE. You only need to download the corresponding files that weigh 6MB.

Download ADB for Windows

Download ADB for Linux

Download ADB for Mac

First step

Once the download is finished, unzip the file to an easily accessible folder on your hard drive. For example, C:\ADB is a good choice.

Second step

Then, enable Developer Options on your phone. Go to Settings>About phone. From here the path usually changes depending on the Android version and manufacturer, but your goal is to get to the place where the Build Number is displayed. You may find it inside some submenu (in the latest Samsung versions it’s under software info). Then tap five times on “Build Number” until you get the message “You are now a developer!”.

About phone

You are now a developer!

Third step

After that, go to the Developer Options and enable “USB Debugging”. A pop-up window will ask you for confirmation.

USB Debugging

Fourth step

Then connect your Android phone to the PC using a USB cable. Wait for the drivers to finish configuring. Next, you should see a prompt asking you to allow the connection from the phone. Note that you may receive two types of prompts: the data connection from the phone is only for accessing data (photos, etc) and is optional for our case. The one you must allow is USB debugging. Optionally, if you are going to do this frequently, you can check Always allow so that you will not be prompted again. With this, you would have the phone ready.

Connect your Android phone to the PC

Fifth step

Next, go back to the PC. Open a command prompt in the folder where you unzipped the ADB ZIP. In Windows you should use Start>Run and type CMD. Then to go to the folder, type in the command prompt:

cd C:\ADB

CMD

Another way to do this is to use Windows File Explorer and go to the path where the folder is located. Then type in the search bar “CMD” and press Enter. This will open the command line in the ADB folder.

Windows File Explorer

Sixth step

Finally, type in the command prompt:

adb devices

If everything went well, you will see a number and next to it the word device.

Adb devices

Conclusion

Congratulations! If you have reached this point you have probably successfully connected your phone with ADB. You can now enjoy the benefits of ADB. And use it for whatever you need. Thanks for reading us, bye!

Hello friends! Root Access is not as widely used nowadays as it used to be. But some more advanced apps need more permissions than the system can grant. A middle ground is Shizuku, an app that makes it easy to grant special permissions to other apps without needing to have Root Access on our device. Apps that need or complement Shizuku for some of their functions are becoming more and more common. It is usually present in apps that seek to modify some section of the system. If you have found an app that requires it to work. In this post, we tell how you can install and configure Shizuku on your Android phone. Thus facilitating some functions without having to use ADB commands every time or use Root Access.

How to install Shizuku

Shizuku is a tool that app developers can use to access certain system APIs more easily. In some cases, it serves as an alternative to Root Access, if the only reason such application required Root was to obtain ADB permissions. If you like to experiment with your phone, you may have already come across an application that requires Shizuku to work, usually as an alternative to Root Access. This is because Shizuku can grant some permissions and is more focused on ADB. Unlike Root Access, which gives you super user permissions and allows you to modify the system practically without limits. The problem with Root is that it compromises Safety Net and device security. At the moment there are not too many apps that require Shizuku, although its popularity is growing as it is much simpler and lighter than having full Root Access.

Shizuku needs to connect to your phone via ADB, and this is much easier to do from Android 11 onwards, with a code for wireless ADB pairing. In case you have a lower version it will be necessary to use USB debugging to be able to use Shizuku.

Third step

After that, open the app and scroll through its interface until you get to the “Start via Wireless debugging” section. Press Pairing, which will open a permanent notification from Shizuku, which you will need to use later to enter the pairing code.

Press Pairing

Notification

Fifth step

To finish, the only thing left to do is to tap “Start” in the Shizuku window. A window will show you the commands with the process, but you can see the result summarized more easily in the main window of the app, at the top of the screen. If Shizuku is active, everything went well.

Conclusion

Shizuku is an interesting bet by developers who aim to use more advanced features without affecting the SafetyNet status on the device, which every day becomes more and more important to be able to run banking applications and any other app that requires it. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!

Hello friends! It is a fact that there are many Android emulators for Windows, although if you want to test more specific versions and be dedicated to other formats such as Android Auto, it can become somewhat complicated. However, if you want to try Android Auto before buying a car that has it integrated, you can also try Android Auto in an emulator, with Android Studio. The goal is to simulate the screen of a car with Android Auto support. Unlike the version of Android Auto for phones that you can test with a traditional Android emulator. Android Auto screen emulation of a car is a bit more complicated. Although it allows you to accurately simulate what it’s like to connect your phone to a car and use Android Auto. This way you’ll get an idea of what it’s like to have Android Auto natively on Windows.

Install and prepare Android Studio

To use Android Auto on a PC we will use the official Google tools, so you must have Android Studio installed. To install Android Studio I recommend you to follow Osrardar’s tutorials:

How to install Android Studio

Although it may seem contradictory, you don’t need to install the Android Studio emulator, because this type of emulation works differently. Once you have Android Studio installed, you need to open the SDK manager (Tools > SDK Manager menu) and go to the SDK Tools tab. There, you need to check the Android Auto Desktop Head Unit Emulator box and click OK to download and install it.

SDK manager

Connect your phone to the PC using ADB

In this case, it will not be necessary to download any additional components since Android Studio includes the necessary components to make possible the connection through ADB. If it fails, we recommend that you verify that the drivers are installed correctly, although it is not necessary nowadays.
Follow the steps below to connect your phone:

Enable Developer Options in Android (Go to Settings>About phone, and tap five times on the build number).

Enable USB debugging in the developer options.

Connect the phone to the PC with a cable

Allow USB debugging from your PC

Developer Options

Allow USB debugging

Then you will need to go to the path “C:\Users/User/AppData/Local/Android/Sdk/platform-tools” on your PC, changing the user to your Windows user name. Once you are in this path, in the Windows File Explorer search bar type “cmd” and press the Enter key.

Windows File Explorer

After that, type the following command:

adb devices

If everything went well, you will see a single device and next to it the word device. Note that the device name is a code that does not mean anything.

cmd

Enable Android Auto development options

The normal version of Android Auto can be found in the system settings of your phone from Android 10 or higher, as it is part of Android. Use the search engine in the settings at the top if you can’t find it.

First step

Once you have entered the Android Auto section, tap several times on the version. Then tap ten times on the version information until a prompt tells you that developer options have been enabled.

Second step

Then, from the Android Auto menu, choose the “Start head unit server” option.

Start head unit server

Connect your phone to Android Auto

To get started, connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable.
You will then need to enter an ADB command so that the server you just activated and the emulator on the PC can understand each other. Then go back on your PC to the “platform-tools” folder which is located in the following path: “C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools”, changing user to your Windows username. Once you are in this path, in the Windows Explorer search bar type “cmd” and press the Enter key.
Then, type this command:

adb forward tcp:5277 tcp:5277

cmd

Now it is time to open the screen emulator for Windows. You do not need to start it from the command line, but you can double-click the desktop-head-unit.exe file. The Android Studio SDK manager normally installs it in path C:\Users/User/AppData/Local/Android/Sdk/Extras/Google/Auto.

Greetings friends, in the world of Android phones, it is well known that the technology that allows us to get the image and sound from a phone through cable, known as MHL (Mobile High Definition Link), is a feature present in high-end or more expensive devices. For lower-priced devices, it is not usually present to reduce costs and is also a more premium feature. It can be taken advantage of by many mid-range devices if it were present. It is a function that for example would allow you to transmit the screen of your phone live. Most phones that don’t have MHL allow you to mirror the screen over Wi-Fi, but with disadvantages such as lower resolution and higher latency. The higher the latency, the more lag there will be in the image.

There is a solution that has been in development for some time now and that is to transmit the screen via USB using ADB. Thanks to an app called Vysor. You can duplicate the screen of your phone on your PC in an elementary way. Besides, this app is free, so you can try it without any problem. In this post, we will show you how to mirror your Android screen to PC via USB.

Downloading the Vysor App

Download and install the Vysor App by following the link below:

Google Play | Vysor Android control on PC

Press the install button!

Enabling Developer Options

Once you have installed the Vysor App, the first thing you should do is to activate the Developer Options, this is an advanced options menu that is hidden in Android. In this menu, you can change more specific system settings. It will be of vital importance for the following steps and the correct functioning of Vysor.

First step

Go to the settings of your Android phone, then go to the “Device Information” section. In the case of Xiaomi, it is “About phone”. You should take into account that the names of these menus may change depending on the brand of your phone, if you have problems locating them I recommend you to use the settings search engine.

Second step

After you are in the section where the device’s system information is displayed. Tap five times on “Build number”. In the case of Xiaomi, you must tap five times on “MIUI Version”. This will activate the Developer options.

Tap five times on “Build number”

Developer options enabled!

Enabling USB Debugging

Another requirement for the Vysor app to work is to enable USB Debugging.

First step

Go to the Developer Options, you can use the browser settings to find it more easily. In Xiaomi, you can find it in Settings>Additional settings>developer options.

Go to the Developer Options

Second step

Then scroll down and in the debugging section, enable USB debugging. Also if you have a Xiaomi phone, in this same section enable the “USB debugging (security settings)” setting. Please note that to enable this option, you need to have a Xiaomi account linked to your phone. You may need to wait sometime after you have linked your account to enable this option. Finally, in this same section, enable the “Install via USB” option and disable the “Verify apps over USB” option.

Enable USB debugging

Download Vysor on your PC

Your phone configuration is ready but you need to install the Vysor client on your PC. The process is really simple, you must download the installer (choose your operating system, Windows, Mac, or Linux) from the official Vysor website and then run it. After a few minutes, you will notice how the program starts without any problem.

Connect your phone to your PC

Then connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable and you will notice how it starts installing drivers. Confirm the requests to get access to your phone.

Conclusion

The possibility to mirror the screen of your Android to a PC via USB is very convenient, it can be used for academic purposes for work, or fun. And thanks to Vysor the process is quite simplified. Thanks for reading us. Bye!

Let’s be honest. Currently, all eyes are on Windows 11. Therefore, our beloved Windows 10 is relegated. But let’s remember that it still has some time left until 2025. Therefore, Microsoft continues with the proposed roadmap. Therefore, the guys from Redmond have announced the name of the Fall update. Indeed, it will be called Windows 10 November 2021 Update or what is the same, Windows 21H2. So, we don’t have to wait much longer, Windows 10 November 2021 Update is here.

Windows 10 November 2021 is ready for download

By the way, this update is now available via ISO. Also, this build 19044.1288 will be the final build for the November 2021 update. So, it will be offered as an optional update in Windows Update. On the other hand, this update has followed the regular path. Currently, only insiders can download the ISO. However, it will soon be available for all other users. Specifically for those who did not meet the requirements to upgrade to Windows 11.

So far, Windows 10 Insiders on version 21H1 (or lower) could try to download the update. With this in mind, they only had to go to the Windows Update section. However, now everyone can do a clean installation via ISO build 19044.1288.

Some new features of this update

This update is oriented to companies that cannot or do not want to make the leap to Windows 11. Therefore, there are not many new features.

Added support for WPA3 H2E standards for enhanced Wi-Fi security.

Windows Hello for Business now supports simplified passwordless deployment models. As a result, usage times are improved.

GPU computing support in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and Azure IoT Edge for Linux on Windows (EFLOW) implementations. This impacts machine learning and other processing-intensive workflows.

So, Windows 10 November 2021 Update is here. For now, there is no exact date for the rollout to regular users. However, with this news, it is clear that it won’t be long. Specifically, we would be talking about the months of November and December. Bye!

Hello, friends. Throughout this post, we will take you to learn how to install MongoDB on Debian 11.

MongoDB is the most representative of the databases known as NoSQL, an acronym for Not only SQL. It is document-oriented and multi-platform, which means that we can use it on many different systems.

In Mongo DB there are no predefined schemas, the keys and values of a document are of fixed types or sizes, in a document with a fixed schema the tasks to add or delete fields become easier and with great performance.

Data in Mongo DB is stored using BSON format structures, which is a specification similar to JSON so any modern text editor can edit it without any problems.

So MongoDB has positioned itself as one of the most solid alternatives to database managers like SQLite or MariaDB. So, let’s go for it.

Install MongoDB on Debian 11

For this post, we will use the MongoDB repository for Debian 10 which also works for this new Debian version. However, we are still waiting for the MongoDB developers to include Debian 11 in their repositories.

So, open a terminal and update the operating system completely.

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Before adding the MongoDB repository to the system, it is necessary to install a package called
gnupg2
.

sudo apt install gnupg2

After that, add the GPG key of the repository as follows

wget -qO - https://www.mongodb.org/static/pgp/server-5.0.asc | sudo apt-key add -

Now add the MongoDB repository to your system by running

echo "deb http://repo.mongodb.org/apt/debian buster/mongodb-org/5.0 main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-org-5.0.list

Refresh APT to accept the new changes

sudo apt update

Next, install MongoDB on Debian 11 by running

sudo apt install mongodb-org
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
  mongodb-database-tools mongodb-mongosh mongodb-org-database mongodb-org-database-tools-extra mongodb-org-mongos mongodb-org-server mongodb-org-shell
  mongodb-org-tools
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  mongodb-database-tools mongodb-mongosh mongodb-org mongodb-org-database mongodb-org-database-tools-extra mongodb-org-mongos mongodb-org-server mongodb-org-shell
  mongodb-org-tools
0 upgraded, 9 newly installed, 0 to remove and 25 not upgraded.
Need to get 147 MB of archives.
After this operation, 464 MB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

After that, you can check the installed version using this command

mongod --version

Output:

db version v5.0.3
Build Info: {
    "version": "5.0.3",
    "gitVersion": "657fea5a61a74d7a79df7aff8e4bcf0bc742b748",
    "openSSLVersion": "OpenSSL 1.1.1k  25 Mar 2021",
    "modules": [],
    "allocator": "tcmalloc",
    "environment": {

        "distarch": "x86_64",
        "target_arch": "x86_64"
    }
}

Managing the MongoDB service

Once it is installed, you can manage its service just like any other service on the system.

To start MongoDB you have to run

sudo systemctl start mongod

It is usually a good idea to make it start with the system so that it is immediately available.

sudo systemctl enable --now mongod
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/mongod.service → /lib/systemd/system/mongod.service.

If you make changes to the MongoDB configuration then you will have to restart it to apply the changes.

sudo systemctl restart mongod

Finally, it is advisable to check the status of the service to see if everything is OK.

sudo systemctl status mongod
● mongod.service - MongoDB Database Server
     Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/mongod.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)

Creating a new user for MongoDB

To access the MongoDB shell just run the command command

mongo

1.- MongoDB on Debian 11

And once inside, it is recommended to create a new user different from the root.

use admin
db.createUser(
{
user: "osradar",
pwd: passwordPrompt(),
roles: [ { role: "userAdminAnyDatabase", db: "admin" }, "readWriteAnyDatabase" ]
}
)

Copy and paste the following but change
osradar
to the name of the user you want.

Then you will have to define a password that has to be secure.

Conclusion

MongoDB is a tool to take into account if we want to develop applications that do not require a SQL database handler. Being open-source we can use it in many different situations with guaranteed performance and efficiency.

Hello, friends in this post, I’ll show you how to install KumbiaPHP on Debian 11 /Ubuntu 20.04.

KumbiaPHP is a simple and light PHP framework under the BSD license, that is, we can use it for our personal projects. The framework is used by many Spanish speaking people because it’s a Latin product. It has a documentation in English, in addition to current communication channels such as mailing lists and IRC.

Some advantages of installing and using KumbiaPHP

Under the premise of shortening development times, KumbiaPHP is a framework with the characteristic of being “Zero Config”. In other words, after you unzip it, you can start working. It’s that simple.

Clearer, more natural codes with fewer errors thanks to Helpers and other patterns to reduce the use of other languages.

Another very favorable aspect is that the learning curve is very short.

The framework has as its main premises to be easy to learn, simple to use, open source and everything without sacrificing quality and robustness. Supports 4 database handlers such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Oracle, which ensures that you can develop without worrying about the compatibility of your database.

So, let us do it.

Install KumbiaPHP on Debian 11 / Ubuntu 20.04

Before installing KumbiaPHP, you need to have PHP installed on your computer.

So, open a terminal and run the following:

:~$ sudo apt install php

Then, you should install a database manager such as MySQL, MariaDB or SQLite. So you can start in shape with the development of an application. The choice is all yours.

The next step is to download KumbiaPHP from the project’s website. At the time of writing this post, the latest stable version is 1.1.3 so check first which one it is.

Now, decompress it using the
unzip
command. If you have it, just install it:

:~$ sudo apt install unzip
:~$ unzip v1.1.5.zip

Then, it is convenient to rename the generated folder to a name related to our project. Or simply the name of our project.

:~$ mv KumbiaPHP-1.1.5/ example

Remember that you can replace example with the name of your project.

Now KumbiaPHP allows to serve the project in development mode without the need of having a web server installed. To do so, navigate to the project’s app folder.

:~$ cd ~/example/default/app

And from there, it starts serving the project in development mode.

:~$ bin/phpserver

Serve the project

Now, our project is available from any computer. And all you have to do is open your favorite web browser and check it out.

So, go to
http://your-pc:8001
and you will see the following:

KumbiaPHP on Debian 11 /  Ubuntu 20.04

This indicates that KumbiaPHP is installed and ready to start development.

Conclusion

In conclusion we can say that web development tools are to reduce coding times. KumbiaPHP stands as a solid proposal for personal work and serious projects.

KumbiaPHP is quite easy to install and practically ready for work. While it is true that compared to other frameworks this has some shortcomings, the truth is that it also becomes very comfortable to work and maintain projects with it.
