How to enable kiosk mode in Windows 10.

Starting with Windows 8.1, an option arrived that allowed the use of the computer with Designated Access. Consequently, this user only had access to one application which was normally a web browser. You have probably seen it in stores. Moreover, this feature is present in Windows 10. To use it, we only need Windows 10 Pro or in its enterprise or educational version. In addition, we will use a user account, so as not to limit the access our own. Read on to learn how to enable kiosk mode in Windows 10.

The first thing you have to do is to enter the windows settings. Once there, go to accounts.

Then scroll down to Family & other users.

From here on you only have to follow the steps described in this post. Once the account is created, just click on Set up a kiosk.

On the next screen, just click on Get started.

Next, click on the previously created account.

Once you have selected the account name, press Next to continue. Now it is time to select the app for privileged access. Accordingly, we have chosen Microsoft Edge. However, it can be any other application.

On the next screen you must choose the operating mode of the application. That is, full screen web home mode or public browser with limited tab support. Please choose the first option.

Next, set the home page for Edge. Accordingly, we will use Osradar for this example.

Finally, you will see the confirmation message. Consequently, you just have to restart the computer to start the program.

Disabling the kiosk mode.

If by any chance you wish to remove this mode, please repeat the above steps. But when you click on Kiosk Mode, the assigned user name will be displayed. Please click on it and then click on Remove Kiosk.
