How to activate the Reading mode on your Xiaomi phone

Hello friends! Nowadays we are facing a very common problem known as eyestrain. It occurs when we spend long hours watching TV, using the computer and when we use our phone. Manufacturers are aware of this, which is why we are seeing more and more of them implementing Dark Mode on their phones. But sometimes it is not enough. In the case of Xiaomi also implemented the Reading Mode trying to remedy this situation. This mode is intended to protect your vision and that in the long term does not have a negative impact. Therefore, in this post, we will show you how to activate Reading Mode on your Xiaomi phone.

Activating Reading Mode

This mode will give you the possibility to apply a filter on your phone screen that will protect you when you expose yourself for long hours. It can be while you are on social media or reading a tutorial on a website. If you have ever experienced eyestrain, you are in the right place.

First step

Go to Settings>Display>Reading Mode

Settings>Display activate the Reading
Settings>Display

Once Read Mode is enabled you will notice two options appear on the screen:

  • Classic: This option will allow you to switch to warmer Colors to reduce the amount of Blue. It will also allow you to change the color temperature, this is the easiest option. Adjusting the color to more sepia tones will reduce eyestrain.
  • Paper: This option will allow you to change the colors to warmer colors and add paper texture to the backgrounds to reduce eyestrain. This option is very similar to “Classic” with the difference that it adds the possibility to add Texture to the backgrounds, this makes it a more complete option. Adding Textures can help when you spend more time reading.
