<p>Windows 10 has several protocols. Which are designed to make your plugins work in a correct way. Indeed, one of these protocols is NetBios. Network Basic Input/Output System is a protocol that allows applications on different computers to communicate with each other on a local network. This protocol should be enabled by default in Windows 10. And its mission is to allow the sharing of network resources. In addition to initiating and maintain open network sessions. Therefore, today we will see how to enable and disable NetBIOS over TCPIP in <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Windows 10.</a></p>



<h2>How to enable NetBIOS over TCPIP in Windows 10.</h2>



<p>The first thing you have to do is to go to the control panel. With this in mind, press the Win+R combination. Then type control panel in the box and press Enter.</p>

<p>Now, please click on <strong>Network &amp; Internet.</strong></p>

<p>Next, click on the <strong>Network and Sharing Center.</strong></p>

<p>Consequently, information regarding network connections will be displayed. On the other hand, the configuration is relative to the network adapters. Therefore, you have to click on<strong> Change adapter settings.</strong></p>

<p>Now all connected devices in the system are displayed. Please right-click on the currently active network adapter. Then open the <strong>Properties.</strong></p>

<p>The following window will be displayed. Therefore, scroll down to <strong>Internet Protocol Version 4.</strong> Then click on <strong>Properties.</strong></p>

<p>In the next window, please click on <strong>Advanced.</strong></p>

<p>In the next window, click on the WINS tab. You will then see the NetBIOS settings. The default option is set to DHCP. You can still enable or disable it according to your needs.</p>
