										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i was last days busy with my Linux to play with my VLC 3.4.  but my player was not able to find my TV chrome cast under option Render. maybe you have the same issues with your players. let me tell  you how I have fixed it.</p>
<p>Please ensure that the following tools are installed on your Linux System  :</p>
<ul>
<li><span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">libmicrodns</span> &#8211; VLC can find the chromecast device and it shows up in <i>Playback &gt; Renderer</i> menu</li>
<li><span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">protobuf</span> &#8211; enables streaming to the selected device in <i>Playback &gt; Renderer</i> menu</li>
</ul>
<p>Please Install /Update  VLC  Media Player</p>
<p><strong>Fedora :</strong></p>
<pre>dnf install <span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">libmicrodns protobuf 
</span></pre>
<p><strong>Ubuntu/Debian</strong></p>
<pre>apt install install <span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">libmicrodns protobuf </span></pre>
<p><strong>Manjaro/ArchLinux</strong></p>
<pre>pacman  -Syyu  <span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">libmicrodns protobuf</span></pre>
<p><strong>Opensuse</strong></p>
<pre>zypper in  <span class="plainlinks archwiki-template-pkg">libmicrodns protobuf</span></pre>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Now restart the media-player and  enjoy</p>

<p>In some forums, the folk have the same issue with Popcorn time software.</p>
<p>For people using Popcorntime this Solution above will fix the problem also.</p>
