<p>Hello! Android is the most widely used mobile operating system in the world. Indeed, this Linux-based system has a large market share. For that reason, some users would like to try it on their computers. However, this is usually not an easy task. Since some emulators are complicated to use or demand a lot of system resources. Well, today we will see an alternative way. We bring you an independent operating system based on Android 7.1. In addition, this system has simple hardware requirements. So it is a good way to revive computers with old software. It also has other interesting features that we will explore below. Without further ado, let&#8217;s see how to install Android on a PC with Phoenix OS.</p>

<h2>Prerequisites</h2>

<p>As mentioned, the hardware requirements are very modest:</p>

<ul><li>A x86 processor</li><li>At least 4GB of free hard disk storage</li><li>2 GB of ram memory.</li><li>Use the legacy boot</li><li>Disable secure boot</li></ul>

<h2>Some features of Phoenix OS</h2>

<p>Some of the most interesting features of this system are:</p>

<ul><li>Multiple Window Settings</li><li>It has a Notification Center</li><li>Ethernet support by allowing the use of DNS or manual IP configuration</li><li>It has the Stardust browser which features ad blocking, malware prevention, multi-tab browsing, and more.</li><li>Archive management</li></ul>

<h2>How to install Phoenix OS on a computer.</h2>

<p>As mentioned above, this distribution has some very interesting elements. Since on its website, we find two types of files to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://www.phoenixos.com/download_x86" target="_blank">download.</a> That is, it is possible to download an ISO to install on a hard disk partition or test in a virtual machine. Additionally, the project offers us a very intuitive installer. It allows you to prepare a USB bootable file to test the installation live. On the other hand, it also allows us to install the operating system together with our main system. And this without compromising the files or configuration. Well, this time we will install Phoenix OS to have a dual boot on the computer. First, download the .EXE file from the download page.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="544" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-1024x544.png" alt="Please download the Phoenix OS installer" class="wp-image-21511" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-1024x544.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-300x159.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-768x408.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-1536x816.png 1536w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-696x370.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6-1068x567.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph6.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Please download the Phoenix OS installer</figcaption></figure>

<p>Once downloaded, just run it like any other Windows program. On the first screen please click on Install to start the process.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="802" height="610" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph.png" alt="Click on install." class="wp-image-21512" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph.png 802w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph-300x228.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph-768x584.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph-696x529.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph-80x60.png 80w" sizes="(max-width: 802px) 100vw, 802px" /><figcaption>Click on install.</figcaption></figure>

<p>Then select the hard disk where the system will be installed.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="673" height="406" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph2.png" alt="" class="wp-image-21513" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph2.png 673w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph2-300x181.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 673px) 100vw, 673px" /></figure>

<p>Then assign the size you will assign to the installation on the disk.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="673" height="400" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph3.png" alt="" class="wp-image-21514" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph3.png 673w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph3-300x178.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 673px) 100vw, 673px" /></figure>

<p>The installation of the Phoenix system will now begin. It usually takes less than 5 minutes.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="708" height="403" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph4.png" alt="Wizard installing Phoenix OS" class="wp-image-21515" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph4.png 708w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph4-300x171.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph4-696x396.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 708px) 100vw, 708px" /><figcaption>Wizard installing Phoenix OS</figcaption></figure>

<p>Finally the wizard will show that the operating system is successfully installed. Now you just need to restart Windows to complete the installation.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="901" height="527" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph5.png" alt="Please reboot the system to complete the installation." class="wp-image-21516" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph5.png 901w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph5-300x175.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph5-768x449.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph5-696x407.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 901px) 100vw, 901px" /><figcaption>Please reboot the system to complete the installation.</figcaption></figure>

<p>Optionally you can check the status of the installation by checking the system folder on your hard disk.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="544" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-1024x544.png" alt="" class="wp-image-21518" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-1024x544.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-300x159.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-768x408.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-1536x816.png 1536w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-696x370.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6-1068x567.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/oh6.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Setting up Phoenix OS for the first time</h2>

<p>Once the computer is rebooted, the system will boot directly into Phoenix OS. Don&#8217;t worry, this is necessary in order to configure it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="440" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-1024x440.png" alt="" class="wp-image-21520" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-1024x440.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-300x129.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-768x330.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-1536x660.png 1536w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-2048x881.png 2048w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-696x299.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-1068x459.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph7-1920x826.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>And this is it! You can now enjoy an operating system based on Android 7.1. Consequently, it is possible to download games and utilities specific to this mobile operating system.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="601" src="//1723336065.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-1024x601.png" alt="Phoenix OS running successfully" class="wp-image-21529" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-1024x601.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-300x176.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-768x451.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-1536x902.png 1536w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-2048x1202.png 2048w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-696x409.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-1068x627.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/ph10-1920x1127.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Phoenix OS running successfully</figcaption></figure>

<p>If you want to log back in to your main system, just reboot the system.</p>
