Today, let’s cater ourselves with Oranchelo – an awesome icon theme pack. This theme pack is easier to install and enjoy for anyone.

Downloading Oranchelo

This theme officially supports Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch Linux, openSUSE etc. major Linux distros. If your Linux system wasn’t there, don’t worry. There’s also a generic method to follow.

• Ubuntu

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oranchelo/oranchelo-icon-theme

sudo apt update && sudo apt install oranchelo-icon-theme

• Debian

cd ~/Downloads
wget https://launchpad.net/~oranchelo/+archive/ubuntu/oranchelo-icon-theme/+files/oranchelo-icon-theme_0.7.7.1~ubuntu18.04.1_all.deb -O oranchelo-icon-theme.deb

sudo dpkg -i oranchelo-icon-theme.deb
sudo apt install -f

• Fedora

wget https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme/releases/download/v0.7.4.4/oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4.4-1.fc27.noarch.rpm
sudo dnf install oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4.4-1.fc27.noarch.rpm -y

• OpenSUSE

wget https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme/releases/download/v0.7.4.4/oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4.4-1.fc27.noarch.rpm
sudo zypper install oranchelo-icon-theme-0.7.4.4-1.fc27.noarch.rpm

• Arch Linux

sudo pacman -S git

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/oranchelo-icon-theme-git.git
cd oranchelo-icon-theme-git
makepkg -si

• Generic instruction

For installing the theme, you have to download from GitHub and build it from source.

Download the theme from GitHub –

git clone https://github.com/OrancheloTeam/oranchelo-icon-theme.git

Run the installation script –

sudo chmod +x  oranchelo-installer.sh
./oranchelo-installer.sh

Remove the sources folder –

rm -vrf ~/oranchelo-icon-theme

Activating the theme

Not sure how to activate the theme? From the launcher of your Linux system, search for “Appearance”. There, you’ll have an option of choosing the icon for your system.
