Hello! How are you? The action center is an integrated function in Windows 10. It is certainly a useful feature for some users. However, you may also want to disable it. This decision involves generating a new registry value. Which is a simple task easily reversible. Read on to find out how to disable Windows 10 Action Center.

How to disable the action center from the Windows registry.

As always, before modifying the Windows registry, we recommend that you make a backup. You can also review our tutorial on how to clean the Windows registry. Then, just follow these steps:

Open the registry editor. To do this, press the Win+R combination to open the Run box. Next, run the regedit command. The Windows registry editor will open immediately. Please navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\

Windows Registry Editor

Now it is time to create a new key. With this intention, right click on a blank space. Now follow the path: New>Key.

<img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="422" src="//1081754738.rsc.cdn77.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ac2-1024x422.png" alt="Creating a new key.

You will assign the name Explorer to this key.

Verifying the creation of the new key

Within the newly generated key, you have to create the new configuration. With this in mind, repeat the same procedure but follow the following path: New>DWORD value (32 bit). Assign it as name DisableNotificationCenter

Creating a new DWORD value (32 bit)

After it is created, just double click on it and change the value from 0 to 1. Restart the computer.

If you want to restore the notification center, simply put a zero where there is a one, and restart again.

Conclusion

Ultimately, we have seen how to disable the Windows 10 Action Center. As you can see, it is a simple procedure to do. Also, note that this will remove the center but not the notifications. If you wish to do so, please follow this tutorial. Bye!

Greetings people, on this time I bring you an app, pretty cool for your Android phone, with which you can customize notifications, besides adding them a pretty professional effect. To change the design of notifications in Android is quite simple. This app is called Edge Mask. Edge Mask has a clean and easy-to-use interface. It includes several styles for Head-Ups notifications. It also includes an effect that will illuminate the edges of the screen. The colors will change according to the app that sends notifications. Among the multiple customization options, you can change the size and duration of notifications.

First step

Download and install from the Google Play Store Edge Mask, following the link below:

EDGE MASK – Change to unique notification design

Second step

After that, open the app and you will be asked to grant some permissions. Then press allow to continue:

Message section

Conclusion

EdgeMask allows you to modify the look of your notifications to an even higher level than some custom ROMs allow. It also has a modern and minimalistic look. It offers you a considerable amount of free customization options. Thanks for reading. Bye!

Google Chrome is one of the most popular and powerful browsers that provides awesome support for native notifications. On other platforms like Windows or Mac, the notifications display correctly. The system itself follows Google standards for the best user experience. However, Linux users find it difficult utilizing the facility of Native Notifications on Linux. It’s because the notification system does hardly match the whole of the OS.

Native notifications can be annoying, but it’s also the easiest way of keeping yourself updated with the latest news and information. For example, I use native notification for receiving Facebook notifications and the latest tech news from different sites.

Now, let’s start fixing the notification system for Linux users.

Installing Chrome

Google is a great tech company providing Chrome for free. From the official site, you can get the latest & stable binary release for Ubuntu, Debian (DEB) and Fedora, OpenSUSE (RPM) packages.

Follow the command lines for installing the package according to your Linux distro. Let’s assume that the package file is saved in “~/Downloads” folder.

Debian/Ubuntu

cd ~/Downloads

sudo dpkg -i google-chrome_stable_current.deb
sudo apt install -f

OpenSUSE

cd ~/Downloads

sudo zypper install google-chrome_stable_current.rpm

Fedora

cd ~/Downloads

sudo dnf install google-chrome_stable_current.rpm -y

Arch Linux

sudo pacman -S git
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/google-chrome.git
cd google-chrome

makepkg -si
