<p>Hello! There is no doubt that the connectivity on the computer is an essential element of its operation. Since it allows the use of social networks, sending emails, or surfing the Internet. On the other hand, for computers equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, Microsoft has implemented a function called Nearby Sharing. This technology allows you to share various items with nearby devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. These elements can be documents, photos, videos, and links to websites.  In addition, they must have Windows 10 version 1803 or higher. Well, there are 3 ways to enable and disable Nearby Sharing in Windows 10. In the following, we will detail each one of them.</p>



<h2>Activate or deactivate Nearby Sharing from the action center.</h2>



<p>The quickest way to activate or deactivate this function is by using the action center. The quickest way to activate or deactivate this function is by using the action center. With this in mind, simply click on the action center icon in the lower right corner. Then you only have to activate or deactivate the icon corresponding to Nearby Sharing.</p>

<h2>How to Turn Windows 10 Nearby Sharing on or off from Settings</h2>



<p>It is also possible to enable or disable this function from the <strong>Windows Settings.</strong> It is also possible to enable or disable this function from the Windows Settings. With this intention, press the Win+I combination, and once there click on <strong>System.</strong></p>

<p>Then scroll down in the left column to <strong>Shared Experiences</strong>. Then the function switch will be shown. This is disabled by default.</p>

<p>If you activate the function, you can configure that the content is shared with everyone or only with selected devices.</p>



<h2>How to activate or deactivate Nearby Sharing using the sharing option.</h2>



<p>For this method, we will use the Windows context menu. That is, the options that are shown when you right-click on a file or folder. Then let&#8217;s get to work. Please select the file, and right-click on it. Then select the <em>Share</em> option.</p>

<p>A wizard is immediately displayed where you can search for nearby devices. This search is linked to Nearby Sharing.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Windows 10 is packed with tons of awesome features and “Nearby Sharing” is one of the latest additions to the arsenal. It is a really handy feature built-in in Windows 10 from now on. It’s available from <a href="https://www.osradar.com/new-features-in-windows-10-v1803-spring-creators-update/">Windows 10 Spring Creators Update v1803</a>.</p>
<p>Let’s take a look at the brand new feature and how to use it.</p>
<h3>Nearby Sharing</h3>
<p>If you want to enjoy this feature, you have to enable it from “Shared Experience”.</p>
<p>Search for “Shared Experience” in the Start menu, or go to Settings &gt;&gt; System &gt;&gt; Shared Experience (from the left panel).</p>

<p>Turn the slide to “On” and enjoy the quick file sharing between the nearby computer(s). It also shows the available option for sharing connection options (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth). The sharing is performed without any password.</p>

<h3>Sharing a file</h3>
<p>If you want to share a file, it’s really easy. Right-click on the required file and select “Share”.</p>

<p>If the feature is turned on, you can get a notification that someone is trying to send a file(s) to you. You can either accept it or deny if have any suspicion.</p>
