<p>Greetings friends! Privacy is one of the most important issues when you lend your phone to someone. Commonly, we feel uncomfortable because this person can invade our privacy. They may start checking things that they shouldn&#8217;t, such as settings. For this, there is a solution that has been available since <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-create-folders-on-your-android-device/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android </a>4.2 Jelly Bean and has been refined over the years. We are talking about multiple users, also known as &#8220;second space&#8221;. In this way, we create an account for the person to whom we often lend our device, so that we do not have to worry about anything. In this article, we will show you how to create multiple users in Android 14.</p>

<h2>What are multiple users for?</h2>

<p>Multiple users are used to give third parties access to your Android device. Perfect if you want to limit the access that these people have to it. In this case, the second user will not be able to access all settings. As long as some of the spaces on the device are restricted by the administrator.</p>

<p>In this way, it is possible to separate the information from the regular user and protect it at all times. At the same time, the second user can use the phone with basic functions. Necessary if you need to make a call, send an e-mail, and do other things that can be done by the account created by the owner of the phone.</p>

<p>The limitation always starts from basic aspects, you will see a more limited desktop, having only a few applications. These include the phone, messages, and email (you need to log in to this service). Depending on what the administrator has configured, you may or may not be limited to other tasks.</p>

<h2>How to create multiple users in Android 14</h2>

<p>This process may vary slightly depending on the level of customization each phone has. However, it is essentially always the same. It depends on the manufacturer and model of the phone. That is what matters in the end.</p>

<p>For pure Android phones, such as the <a href="https://store.google.com/us/?hl=en-US&amp;regionRedirect=true" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google Pixel</a>, all you need to do is follow the steps below:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Go to the <em>settings </em>of your Android device</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-498x1024.jpg" alt="settings create multiple users in Android" class="wp-image-39870" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>settings </figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Next, tap on <em>&#8220;Allow Multiple Users&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-498x1024.png" alt="" class="wp-image-39873" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-498x1024.png 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-146x300.png 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-768x1579.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-747x1536.png 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-996x2048.png 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-696x1431.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04-1068x2195.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_04.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>Allow Multiple Users</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fifth step</h3>

<p>Then select the <em>&#8220;Add user&#8221;</em> option. Then tap the <em>&#8220;Next&#8221;</em> button.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-498x1024.jpg" alt="Next" class="wp-image-39874" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>Next</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Sixth step</h3>

<p>Finally, enter a name for the new user and tap the <em>&#8220;Done&#8221;</em> button. Remember that you can also grant permission to make calls and send SMS. This option is disabled by default.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-498x1024.png" alt="new user create multiple users in Android" class="wp-image-39875" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-498x1024.png 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-146x300.png 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-768x1579.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-747x1536.png 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-996x2048.png 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-696x1431.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06-1068x2195.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_06.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>new user</figcaption></figure>

<p>From this point, you can tap the <em>&#8220;switch to new user&#8221;</em> button to enter the second space.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped"><ul class="blocks-gallery-grid"><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-498x1024.png" alt="switch to new user" data-id="39876" data-full-url="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07.png" data-link="https://www.osradar.com/?attachment_id=39876" class="wp-image-39876" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-498x1024.png 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-146x300.png 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-768x1579.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-747x1536.png 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-996x2048.png 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-696x1431.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07-1068x2195.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_07.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption class="blocks-gallery-item__caption">switch to new user</figcaption></figure></li><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-498x1024.jpg" alt="second space" data-id="39877" data-full-url="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08.jpg" data-link="https://www.osradar.com/?attachment_id=39877" class="wp-image-39877" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_08.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption class="blocks-gallery-item__caption">second space</figcaption></figure></li></ul></figure>

<h2>How to create a guest account</h2>

<p>Another option that Android 14 gives you is the ability to create a guest account. This is the same as a multi-user account, with the only difference being that when the guest finishes his session, the second space is deleted and neither his data nor the applications he has installed are saved. This option is ideal if you want to lend your phone to a third person for a short period and do not want to create a permanent account. It does not take up any space on your device.</p>

<p>To activate the guest account, follow the steps below:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Go to <em>Settings&gt;System&gt;Multiple users.</em></p>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then tap the <em>&#8220;Guest&#8221;</em> option. You will notice that the guest account is automatically created and the system invites you to switch to the guest account. That&#8217;s it!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped"><ul class="blocks-gallery-grid"><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-498x1024.jpg" alt="Guest" data-id="39878" data-full-url="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09.jpg" data-link="https://www.osradar.com/?attachment_id=39878" class="wp-image-39878" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_09.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption class="blocks-gallery-item__caption">Guest</figcaption></figure></li><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-498x1024.png" alt="Multiple users" data-id="39879" data-full-url="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10.png" data-link="https://www.osradar.com/?attachment_id=39879" class="wp-image-39879" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-498x1024.png 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-146x300.png 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-768x1579.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-747x1536.png 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-996x2048.png 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-696x1431.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10-1068x2195.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CMU_10.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption class="blocks-gallery-item__caption">Multiple users</figcaption></figure></li></ul></figure>

<p>Remember that you can delete the accounts you have created at any time from your main account. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Greetings friends! A common problem for <a href="https://www.osradar.com/best-cleaning-apps-for-your-android-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android </a>users. It is to find a free VPN that works without problems. In addition to being ad-free and from a reliable source. Therefore, in this post we will show you how to use Opera Free VPN on your Android device. <strong>A VPN that comes integrated with the mobile version of the Opera web browser.</strong> It is an option that you should consider and it will most likely suit your needs. We will tell you more about it below.</p>

<h2>What is a VPN and what is it for?</h2>

<p>Let&#8217;s start with a brief review of what a VPN is, for all those people who are not very clear about this concept. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which, in simple terms, is a space created with an extension of your local connection that hides your real location and encrypts your data.<br></p>

<p>In other words, a VPN is a security tool that hides your data from any software that wants to access it. It also alters your IP to make it look like you are connected from somewhere else. The intention is to keep your data safe from any malicious website or person. Opera offers its users a completely free VPN that is already included in its browser.<br></p>

<p>Just like that, the free VPN of the Opera app on Android will be activated. It&#8217;s important to mention that this VPN doesn&#8217;t have a lot of customization options, however, it does the main job, that is, protecting your data.</p>

<h2>Is it possible to activate a free VPN in Opera GX and Opera Mini?</h2>

<p>Opera has several versions of its browsers, each version has a different mission and has different functions, depending on what its users are looking to achieve. The other versions of Opera are Opera GX and Opera Mini, both of which are very good alternatives, but neither has a free VPN integrated. So if you want to be able to have a VPN while using some of these other two versions of Opera, you will have to resort to a third-party VPN. But don&#8217;t worry, there are many other free VPNs for Android, you just have to find the one that works best for you. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!</p>

<h2>How to increase icon size with Giga Icon</h2>

<p>Giga Icon is an app that will allow you to create Widgets for the apps you use the most. Which you can resize to your liking. It is worth mentioning that it will not make any changes to the device&#8217;s interface, since it is not a launcher for Android.</p>

<p>Follow the steps below to increase the size of the icons using Giga Icon:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Download and install the Giga Icon app by following the link below:</p>

<p><a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mirko.gigaicon" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google Play | Giga Icon</a></p>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then open the <em>Giga Icon</em> app.</p>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, select the icon you want to make it look bigger. Next, tap on <em>&#8220;Add to home screen&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-39903" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_09.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>select the icon you want</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>The icon will look bigger, but you will be able to increase its size even more.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-461x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-39904" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/ICA_10.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Giga Icon</figcaption></figure>

<p>When you return to the app, you will need to select the other icons you want to appear on the main screen. We recommend choosing the ones you use the most.</p>

<p>Last but not least, it should be noted that, for the moment, the icons do not show the name of any app, a shortcoming that could be solved in future updates. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Greetings folks! Saving battery on <a href="http://Android.com">Android </a>is as simple as stopping using your phone or turning it off completely. That&#8217;s obvious, but there are ways to make better use of milli amps without having to do without basic use of your smartphone. <strong>There is a way to save a lot of battery by removing a couple of options that come by default in Developer Options.</strong> At the same time, you&#8217;ll save mobile data. The system offers several saving modes that can be activated if the percentage drops dangerously below 10%. For example; you can restrict the use of background apps and reduce the screen brightness. Both are visible options that help extend battery life, although other settings are not so obvious. In this post, we will show you how to save battery and mobile data with 2 hidden settings in Android 14.</p>

<h2>Blocking the permanent mobile data connection</h2>

<p>Wireless connections are an essential part of smartphones, especially after the progressive popularization of apps connected at all times. Android searches for a tower to connect to, tries to locate known <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-activate-vowifi-calls-on-xiaomi-phones/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">WiFi </a>networks and, on top of that, performs both tasks constantly and by default. Restricting this operation will have positive effects on battery saving without wasting more than a few minutes each day.</p>

<p>Increasing battery life is possible with two hidden settings on your Android that will help you.</p>

<p>In the Developer Options, several settings allow you to get some more autonomy. And two of these options are practical:<em> &#8220;Mobile data always active&#8221;</em> and <em>&#8220;Wi-Fi scan throttling&#8221;</em>. Both are intended to reduce the time away from an active Internet connection, but they can be switched off without reducing the usage experience too much. We find this highly recommended.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s how to disable both network features from Developer Options:</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>To begin with, it is essential to enable the <em>&#8220;Developer options&#8221;</em>. To do this, go to the settings of your Android. Then find the <em>&#8220;About phone&#8221;</em> section. Next, locate the <em>&#8220;Build number&#8221;</em> and press that option 7 times until you see a message saying <em>&#8220;You are now a developer&#8221;</em>. This activates the <em>&#8220;Developer options&#8221;</em>. There is a possibility that you will have to authorize unlocking your phone.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-498x1024.jpg" alt="You are now a developer" class="wp-image-39918" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>You are now a developer</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Then go back to the main <em>&#8220;Settings&#8221;</em> menu and go to the <em>&#8220;System&#8221;</em> section to locate the new <em>&#8220;Developer options&#8221;</em>. For each brand of phone, this may vary: they are usually located under <em>&#8220;System&#8221;</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-498x1024.png" alt="Developer options save battery and mobile data" class="wp-image-39919" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-498x1024.png 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-146x300.png 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-768x1579.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-747x1536.png 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-996x2048.png 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-696x1431.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02-1068x2195.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_02.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>Developer options</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, swipe down in the <em>Developer Options</em> menu until you find the <em>&#8220;Wi-Fi scan throttling&#8221;</em> setting and enable it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-498x1024.jpg" alt="Wi-Fi scan throttling save battery and mobile data" class="wp-image-39920" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>Wi-Fi scan throttling</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Finally, just look for the <em>&#8220;Mobile data always active&#8221;</em> option and turn it off. And that&#8217;s it!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="498" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-498x1024.jpg" alt="How to save battery and mobile data with 2 hidden settings in Android 14" class="wp-image-39921" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-498x1024.jpg 498w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-768x1579.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-747x1536.jpg 747w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-996x2048.jpg 996w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-696x1431.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04-1068x2195.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/SBM_04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /><figcaption>How to save battery and mobile data with 2 hidden settings in Android 14</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>By configuring these two functions of WiFi and mobile connectivity in the background your Android device will stop searching for networks constantly and, when connected to a known WiFi, it will disable mobile data so as not to waste resources when they are unnecessary (you can also completely disconnect the WiFi and activate it only when you are under your known networks). In return, it may take a few seconds longer than usual for your phone to connect to the Internet when you leave the WiFi coverage, nothing that would be problematic. Remember to try these options and let us know your experience in the comments. Thanks for reading us. Goodbye!</p>

<p>Hello friends! How to create folders on <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-format-an-sd-card-using-your-android-phone/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android </a>is a recurring question. Not because it&#8217;s complicated, but because we don&#8217;t often create them. While this process is on the computer, it is something that is done constantly. On your Android device, this is not always the case.<strong> If you are interested in knowing the methods for this, you should read this note to the end.</strong> There are all kinds of users, from those who have their files and <a href="https://play.google.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">apps </a>cluttered to those who need to have everything organized. If you are of the second type, then you should learn how to create folders on Android. You won&#8217;t believe how simple the procedures you are about to perform are. In this post, we will teach you how to create folders on your Android device.</p>

<h2>Types of folders on your Android device</h2>

<p>Possibly, you are used to seeing only one type of folder, but this only happens on the computer. On the phone, there are several types, but we will focus on two main ones, the ones that contain files and the ones that appear in your menus to organize the apps. Folders or directories are used in computing to organize the data contained within the computer. A good example of this would be the disorder that would exist if they did not exist, imagine having all your photos along with the boot files of your computer. This methodology also allows for optimized operation when running processes. In general, there is only one folder, however, due to their functionality, location, and environment, they are classified separately. Another reason to separate them is the procedure necessary for their creation, which I detail below.</p>

<h2>Create folders for your apps</h2>

<p>If you are one of those who can&#8217;t conceive of clutter in your apps, then this method is for you. The idea is to structure folders according to the type of applications they will contain. For example, you can add all your social networks in one folder, payment options in another, and messaging systems in a separate one.</p>

<p>The steps to achieve this type of folder are very simple. But just in case, I show you step-by-step how to achieve it.</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Enter the area where the apps are located, usually on the home screen or in the application drawer, if you have it enabled.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-461x1024.jpg" alt="home screen create folders on your Android" class="wp-image-39715" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/CF_01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>home screen</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Manage the apps connected to your account</h2>

<p>Many apps enhance the user experience when you sign in with Google. The downside of this is that apps accumulate over time and some of them you stop using them. Therefore, I recommend that you disable access to apps that you no longer use.</p>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>Throughout this post, we showed you some of the settings that you can modify on your Android device. To improve privacy specifically in the section of your Google account and its link with the Google Chrome browser. One of these settings is the enhanced protection that is not normally enabled but instead comes with the standard settings. Another interesting option is to password-protect the Google activity log, which is important to maintain your privacy. Also, deleting data from apps that are linked to Google that are no longer in use is a smart move that you may be overlooking. Finally, reviewing the apps to which you grant access to your account is a good way to maintain your security and privacy. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!</p>

<h3>Fifth step</h3>

<p>Now go back and the application will start normally.<br></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-461x1024.jpg" alt="Full-Screen Gestures app customize the on-screen gestures" class="wp-image-39502" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/COS_08.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Full-Screen Gestures app</figcaption></figure>

<p>You can choose which of the gestures are enabled, you can also modify their behavior. You can also pause the gestures when the keyboard appears. Ideal for devices that do not have a gesture system.</p>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>

<p>The mobile operating system since its inception is known for its extensive customization capabilities. Which is possible without having to modify it too much. In this case, we tested an app that allows us to use a gesture system, with some modest modifications. That usually does not come from the factory and that you can take advantage of to give a touch more people to your device. Thanks for reading us. Bye bye!</p>

<p>Greetings friends! One advantage of <a href="https://www.osradar.com/some-settings-that-you-should-always-have-enabled-on-your-android/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android </a>devices is that they allow you to efficiently manage your files. And they support many different file types such as RAR and ZIP. If you are an intermediate user you have probably found yourself in the need to unzip some of these types of files. Let us tell you that you are in the right place. In this post, we are going to explain how to decompress RAR and ZIP files using Files by Google. Most likely, you won&#8217;t need to install it. Since this application usually comes installed by default on most devices that have the Android mobile operating system.</p>

<h2>Advantages of having an app for compressing and decompressing files on Android</h2>

<p>Every Android device today should have an application to compress and decompress files. Why? Well, because these applications have many utilities, such as:</p>

<ul><li>Compress heavy files to save storage space on Android.</li><li>Split heavy files into multiple parts that otherwise could not be sent by WhatsApp or Gmail, for example.</li><li>Unzip RAR, ZIP, or 7Z files downloaded from the Internet. You can also create archives in these formats.</li><li>They allow you to organize your Android, by compressing into a single file all those photos, music, or videos that you save on your phone and do not want to delete.</li></ul>

<h2>Extracting ZIP and RAR archives using Files by Google on Android is possible</h2>

<p>Before we show you the procedure you will need to perform. It is also necessary to take into account that Google Files only recognizes files in RAR and ZIP format. In other words, if you want to decompress files in other formats, you will have to download other applications. Also, you must update the Google Files app to the latest version. Older versions do not have this feature.</p>

<h3>First step</h3>

<p>Open the &#8220;Files by Google&#8221; app from your phone. In case you don&#8217;t have it you can also download and install it by following the link below:</p>

<p><a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.nbu.files" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google Play | Files by Google</a></p>

<h3>Second step</h3>

<p>Once you are inside the app, you must tap on the tab that says <em>&#8220;Explore&#8221; </em>(it is located at the bottom center of the screen).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-461x1024.jpg" alt="Explore" class="wp-image-39507" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_01.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Explore</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Third step</h3>

<p>After that, you will have to enter the storage where the file you want to unzip is located (internal memory or external memory).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-461x1024.jpg" alt="storage " class="wp-image-39508" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_02.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>storage </figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fourth step</h3>

<p>Next, search for the file in ZIP or RAR format that you want to decompress (you can use the Files by Google search engine to find it faster).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-461x1024.jpg" alt="Files by Google" class="wp-image-39509" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_03.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Files by Google</figcaption></figure>

<h3>Fifth step</h3>

<p>Then when you have located the respective file, you must tap on the <em>file </em>(tap once on the screen).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-461x1024.jpg" alt="Files by Google decompress RAR and ZIP files" class="wp-image-39510" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_04.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Files by Google</figcaption></figure>

<p>A window will pop up asking you if you want to extract the files inside the archive. Finally, tap on <em>&#8220;Extract&#8221;</em>. In seconds, Google Files will decompress the file.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-461x1024.jpg" alt="Extract decompress RAR and ZIP files" class="wp-image-39511" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-768x1707.jpg 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-691x1536.jpg 691w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-922x2048.jpg 922w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-696x1547.jpg 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05-1068x2373.jpg 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/DRZ_05.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /><figcaption>Extract</figcaption></figure>

<p>As you may have noticed when decompressing the file. Google Files allows you to delete the extracted RAR or ZIP file. It is not a bad idea to activate this function so that the file does not continue to occupy the external or internal storage of your mobile. As long as you no longer need the compressed file.</p>

<p>In case you have problems extracting files with Google Files. We recommend you restart the phone or clear the cache of the respective app.</p>
