<p>Search engines have become an extremely difficult market for anyone not named Google. Despite increasing competition, the Mountain View giant&#8217;s search engine is still by far the most popular. In fact, according to Statcounter, it holds more than 90% of the market share. Not even the strong campaigns against it due to privacy concerns have managed to dent it.</p>

<h2>Google and its ethical…domain?</h2>

<p>Although Google is seen on many fronts as a villain, that has not always been the case. Especially when the company, now officially called Alphabet, used the slogan <em>don&#8217;t be evil</em> in reference to using user data only for ethical purposes. However, that image faded over the years until it officially disappeared in 2018.</p>

<p>Google&#8217;s leadership among search engines is undoubtedly meritocratic, if not entirely so. The Mountain View corporation knew how to hit the key with a service that offered much more accurate results than those of its competitors. An element that today is still awaiting what Microsoft can do with artificial intelligence in <a href="https://www.osradar.com/advantages-of-the-renewed-bing-search-engine-over-google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bing.</a></p>

<p>At this point, we have implicitly mentioned one of the main reasons why Google maintains a clear dominance in the sector: the fact that it has to compete with giant corporations. Companies like Alphabet and Microsoft have huge financial resources and armies of engineers. That, of course, makes it very difficult for smaller competitors to gain a significant foothold. Unless they manage to get ahead in something and that something is a commercial success. We know that, unfortunately, the mass market is often not meritocratic when it comes to the quality of products and services.</p>

<p>Google has a dominant position. In addition, advertising is one of the cornerstones of the company&#8217;s business model. This has meant that its privacy policies have been criticized by many. Microsoft, the main rival with Bing, is not to be trusted either. Especially, if we see the way it has pivoted towards services with the introduction of questionable things on Windows.</p>

<h2>Hope is not lost</h2>

<p>Fortunately, and although they have a tough time against two of the biggest giants in the business world, over the years many alternatives have emerged that are more ethical. And that also show a greater commitment to privacy, an aspect that unfortunately is of less concern to the masses than it should be. Although privacy on the Internet is in reality an unrealistic utopia, that should not be a reason to give up and not fight to improve the current framework.</p>

<h2>DuckDuckGo</h2>

<p>It is the best known alternative search engines in the western half of the world. This service needs no introduction at this point. Indeed, within its context it is quite popular. It has even reached 100 million searches per day by the end of 2021.</p>

<p><a href="https://duckduckgo.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">DuckDuckGo</a> was officially launched in 2008. It was born with the mission to change the direction of the sector. Especially with regard to a competition that was becoming less and less in the face of Google. Two years later, those responsible decided to take a turn to make a greater commitment to privacy. This reaction stemmed mainly from the growing concern about privacy. Also, the doubts that Google was already generating at the time.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="729" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-1024x729.png" alt="" class="wp-image-39139" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-1024x729.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-300x214.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-768x547.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-696x495.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear-1068x760.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Considering that privacy does not really exist on the Internet, what DuckDuckGo does is not track the user. If one accesses the website provided by the search engine without employing any kind of blocker, one will see that there is advertising. However, this is only linked to the search term entered by the user in a totally aseptic manner. That is, there is no data collection or profiling.</p>

<p>For a long time, it was the great champion of privacy among Internet search engines. In recent times, however, its reputation has been somewhat damaged by scandals. For example, the Microsoft trackers and the blocking of The Pirate Bay. However, the company has been developing DuckAssist, an artificial intelligence-based response mechanism, for several months now</p>

<p>DuckDuckGo has expanded at the product level to offer privacy-oriented web browsers. The Android app is based on Chromium. The Mac app wraps the WebKit engine used by Safari. The Windows app is also expected to do the same with Microsoft Edge. One of the search engines focused on privacy.</p>

<h2>Qwant</h2>

<p><a href="https://www.qwant.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qwant </a>is basically the European rival of DuckDuckGo. It is based in France, within the European Union. Consequently, it is directly subject to the direct application of the GDPR. This is the regulation governing the protection and processing of personal data within the EU. In a world that generally focuses too much on the strictly technological. However, it does not hurt to keep the legislation in mind when it comes to operating services over the Internet.</p>

<p>Qwant was officially launched in July 2013. It is also committed to respecting privacy. To this end, it does not track users for the purpose of displaying targeted advertising or selling their personal data. In short, nothing new. Although, it has a European touch that possibly makes it more attractive than other options with similar characteristics.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="725" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-1024x725.png" alt="" class="wp-image-39140" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-1024x725.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-300x212.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-768x544.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-696x493.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2-1068x756.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>An interesting detail of Qwant is that it allied with Mozilla Foundation for the development of web browsers based on Firefox. This has resulted in apps for Android and iOS that internally work very differently. This because Apple prohibits the use of other rendering engines in its mobile operating system. I am glad to say that it seems like it won&#8217;t be around for much longer.</p>

<p>One of the weak points of this search engine is that it is not officially operational in numerous countries.</p>

<h2>Brave Search</h2>

<p>And now we jump to <a href="https://search.brave.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Brave Search</a>. We are talking about a much younger exponent than those mentioned so far. In fact, the company responsible for developing the largest Chromium derivative, which is released as free software, launched it in 2021. One can therefore imagine a privacy-centric approach and some originality. Recall that the most prominent feature of the web browser is that it pays you to view advertising.</p>

<p>Brave Search is an independent search engine. Or at least it tries to be as much as possible, since it got rid of Bing&#8217;s influence recently. Besides that, it tries to avoid spam and low-quality content and has a paid premium plan that eliminates advertising and avoids public IP harvesting.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="730" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-1024x730.png" alt="" class="wp-image-39141" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-1024x730.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-300x214.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-768x548.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-696x496.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3-1068x762.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear3.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Other noteworthy features include Discussions. This feature shows conversations related to the search query as comments posted on Reddit. It also offers Goggles, a feature that allows users to apply their own rules and filters to a search. Finally, there is Summarizer, a summary function powered by Brave&#8217;s own artificial intelligence.</p>

<p>Brave intends to drive an ecosystem of products and services in order to gain users and be sustainable. The browser is currently set by default in the web browser of the same name. Additionally, you can set it in others such as Firefox, Chrome, and Edge by following the standard procedure.</p>

<h2>Yandex</h2>

<p>According to Statcounter data, <a href="https://yandex.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yandex</a> is the third most popular web browser in the world, after Google and Bing. It is also closely followed by Yahoo. This may be mainly due to the fact that it is the most used search engine in its home country, Russia. There it has about 60% share. It is also popular in other countries, mainly in Asia, including Turkey, Belarus, China, and Uzbekistan. As we can see, this is a search engine whose main audience is in countries close to Russia. In fact, there are many who see Yandex as an answer to Google by the historical enemy/rival of the United States.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="732" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-1024x732.png" alt="" class="wp-image-39142" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-1024x732.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-300x214.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-768x549.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-696x498.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4-1068x763.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/sear4.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>When you enter the website that gives access to the search engine, the user will see an indication about the weather in a location near his or her own. In addition, they will also see links to game services, images, video, weather, maps, and e-mail. It is capable of indexing content in many formats, but possibly most notably indexing text located within Flash Shockwave objects.</p>

<h2>SearXNG</h2>

<p>And we close the list of top mentions with <a href="https://s.k99.io/info/en/about" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SearXNG</a>, an improved fork of Searx. To be more specific, it is actually a metasearch engine that aggregates results from other popular search engines. Similarly, it does not store user information on a remote server. This, far from being a compromise in order to look good to the public, is materialized by the fact that it works in loco. Therefore, the user will have to follow a series of somewhat advanced steps and meet certain requirements to have it running.</p>

<p>Of course, not everyone may find SearXNG suitable, but those who have concerns about using remote servers can try it out and see if it meets their requirements. Additionally, SearXNG&#8217;s source code is available on GitHub under the AGPLv3 license, making it free software</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s be honest. Nowadays, it seems almost impossible to live without a search engine. In fact, most users of my generation have been using this search engine for as long as we can remember. In fact, the Google search engine is a mark of cultural identity. Certainly, we have grown up with it and feel it as part of our essence. Moreover, it has not only taught us a lot of things. In fact, it has offered us hours and hours of entertainment. We have enjoyed other tools and tricks that Google has in store for those who use its search engine. Here are some of the best secret Google <a href="https://www.osradar.com/4-tricks-to-stop-google-discover-from-showing-you-news-youre-not-interested-in/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">searches.</a></p>

<h2>Play Snake, the classic snake game.</h2>

<p>A classic that has never died. In fact, it has only been adapted: Atari, Game Boy. Besides of course on Nokia, internet via Slither.io, YouTube and even on Google Maps. No need to rummage through the junk room to find your Nokia 3310. Just open your browser, go to Google and type &#8220;<strong><a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=play+snake&amp;sxsrf=AJOqlzVpfnzGortus1j3glm62vtzm8Z9GQ%3A1674774618538&amp;source=hp&amp;ei=WgjTY9b3Hv6ZwbkP4rKdGA&amp;iflsig=AK50M_UAAAAAY9MWap84tdbtpIKXCcIcLwpJo5AaxQpx&amp;oq=play+sna&amp;gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMYADIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIICAAQgAQQywEyCAgAEIAEEMsBMggILhCABBDLATIICAAQgAQQywEyCAgAEIAEEMsBMggIABCABBDLATIICAAQgAQQywE6BAgjECc6CAgAEIAEELEDOgoIABCxAxCDARBDOhEILhCABBCxAxCDARDHARDRAzoICAAQsQMQgwE6CwgAEIAEELEDEIMBOgcIABCxAxBDOgQIABBDOgcILhDUAhBDUABYwQ9gzxtoAHAAeAGAAa4GiAGkG5IBCzItMS4xLjIuMi4xmAEAoAEB&amp;sclient=gws-wiz" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">play Snake</a></strong>&#8220;. Now, hit search, click on the blue &#8216;Play&#8217; button and enjoy. The same simple dynamic as always, that has not lost any of its appeal.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="753" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-1024x753.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38071" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-1024x753.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-300x221.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-768x565.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-696x512.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo-1068x785.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Play Pac-Man</h2>

<p>Entertaining yourself in idle time can be very simple. Even if you don&#8217;t have games installed or access to them, it can be on the way to work or even at work. We give you the tricks, and you are the one who has to choose when to put them into practice.</p>

<p>Another game that you have at hand simply by typing it in the search engine is the mythical Pac-Man. As easy as typing &#8220;<strong>Play Pacman</strong>&#8220;, &#8220;<strong>Play Pac-man</strong>&#8221; or even just &#8220;<strong>Pacman</strong>&#8221; and, once you press &#8220;<strong>Enter</strong>&#8221; to activate the command, the fully playable doodle will appear. By the way, if you click on the arrow just below, you will have access to other equally simple but entertaining games.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="722" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-1024x722.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38072" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-1024x722.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-300x211.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-768x541.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-696x490.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2-1068x753.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Discover the effects of gravity on your screen</h2>

<p>This is a little trick to draw a smile on your face or to make someone&#8217;s jaw drop. Simply go to the search bar and type &#8220;<strong>Google Gravit</strong>y&#8221;. In this case do not hit search or press &#8220;Enter&#8221;, you will have to press &#8220;<strong>I&#8217;m feeling lucky</strong>&#8220;. There is no photo here, we leave it up to you to discover the effect of gravity on your computer&#8217;s flesh.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="722" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-1024x722.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38073" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-1024x722.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-300x211.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-768x541.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-696x490.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3-1068x753.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo3.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Heads or tails: let Google&#8217;s randomness choose for you</h2>

<p>There are moments in life when you have to choose: to watch this movie or that one? To have dinner at this restaurant or that one? Who throws out the garbage today? As a result, we sometimes opt for chance, but we don&#8217;t always have a coin or a dice at hand. What you do usually have nearby is your cell phone.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="724" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-1024x724.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38074" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-1024x724.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-300x212.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-768x543.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-696x492.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4-1068x755.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo4.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In this specific case, you must enter the command toss a coin or roll a die. Then, run the search, and you will see the animation of the coin or the dice until both elements stop moving, giving you the solution. In the latter case, you can also choose how many sides of the die to throw.</p>

<h2>Fun facts</h2>

<p>We know that the Internet is an inexhaustible source of information. We know that the Internet is an inexhaustible source of information. Depending on the source, it may or may not be reliable. Moreover, this information can be useful or not. In this sense, it can be useful to break the ice in a conversation or even win a TV contest like &#8220;<strong>Who wants to be a millionaire</strong>&#8220;. In the Google search bar type &#8220;<strong>Fun Facts</strong>&#8221; and you will discover some.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="724" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-1024x724.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38075" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-1024x724.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-300x212.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-768x543.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-696x492.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5-1068x755.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo5.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Test internet speed</h2>

<p>Whether you suspect that your Internet connection speed is slower than it should be or you simply want to know, you don&#8217;t need an additional application. Just type &#8220;internet speed test&#8221;, hit search and start it by pressing the blue button. In a matter of seconds, you will get the results.</p>

<p>As Google itself explains, this test usually involves a transfer of less than 40 MB of data. It also takes less than 30 seconds and is performed via Measurement Lab, which with your IP address will perform it.</p>

<h2>Find out what noises animals make</h2>

<p>You may be a curious person. Or you simply have children in the house. Especially in this case, you may want to amaze them. Consequently, you can try something that is not only fun but also didactic, type &#8220;animal sounds&#8221; in the Google search bar and hit search.</p>

<p>Then you will see a series of drawings of the respective animals with their names just below. This is perfect for kids to learn to associate noises with the animal in question. Some are as common as the rooster or the cat, but you will also find the bowhead whale.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="725" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-1024x725.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38076" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-1024x725.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-300x212.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-768x544.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-696x493.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6-1068x756.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo6.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>A special place for mathematics lovers</h2>

<p>Everyone knows that by typing &#8220;calculator&#8221; in Google and hitting search, you can have a calculator at hand that can get you out of a lot of trouble in your day-to-day life. However, what not everyone knows is that by typing this formula and hitting &#8220;Enter&#8221;, Google will return it represented, and it will surely soften your mathematical heart.</p>

<pre class="wp-block-preformatted">sqrt(cos(x))<em>cos(500</em>x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.4)<em>(3-x</em>x)^0.1</pre>

<h2>What animal are you?</h2>

<p>Throughout our lives, we have asked ourselves many questions. Surely many of them are transcendental. However, some are hilarious to say the least. For example, if you&#8217;ve ever wondered what animal you are, then this is for you.</p>

<p>Simply write &#8220;Earth Day quiz&#8221; then just click on search. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="727" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-1024x727.png" alt="" class="wp-image-38077" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-1024x727.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-300x213.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-768x545.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-696x494.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7-1068x758.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/goo7.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Fidget spinner</h2>

<p>Fashions are as inexplicable as they are cyclical. You probably had fun with gadgets that are totally unimaginable today. For example, there is the classic fidget spinner. On the other hand, you can always turn to Google to rescue via typing “Fidget Spinner” to this toy. Hit &#8220;Enter&#8221; and be entertained by its spinning.</p>

<p>Hello! It is well known that Google history is very important. Indeed, a lot of information and personal data is stored there. So an excellent security measure is to secure it with a password. Therefore, today we will learn more about Google&#8217;s history and what it is used for. Besides, it is something that most users don&#8217;t care about. Because the first thing we think about is only the internet browsing history. However, it is more than that. Because Google has its own history. In this history are recorded personal <a href="https://www.osradar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">data. </a>For which it is convenient to protect them. So today we will see how you can password protect your Google search history.</p>

<h2>What is Google History?</h2>

<p>Surely when you browse, you see advertisements in your browser. The most curious thing is that this advertising is usually related to something we have been looking at recently. This is due to the fact that Google&#8217;s biggest revenues come through its search engine. Therefore, advertising is very important. In addition, this advertising is more effective as they get to know our tastes. This is where Google history plays a key role. Since it allows us to observe our tastes and what we search for on the network. Therefore, it stores the user&#8217;s movements to capture relevant information.</p>

<p>Consequently, when you enter the Google search history, the search activity is displayed. Of course, this history is related to the open account. Moreover, it is displayed in great detail. On the other hand, the location history is also stored. Which manages the places where the user has been. Additionally, Google Maps searches appear. Therefore, advertising is even more personalized. With all this information, Google is profiling the subject. Consequently, it refines searches and advertisements according to tastes and habits. Which is very interesting for advertising. But it is very dangerous for the user&#8217;s privacy.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="639" height="409" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31810" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo.png 639w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo-300x192.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px" /><figcaption>Google History activity</figcaption></figure>

<h2>How to view Google history</h2>

<p>This is very simple to do. In fact, just go to this address:</p>

<ul><li> <a href="https://myactivity.google.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://myactivity.google.com/</a>. </li><li>Once there, different sections are displayed that configure the saved information.</li><li>Three sections appear at the top. Namely, web and app activity, location history and YouTube history. In addition, an activity indicator appears.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="675" height="683" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo2.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31811" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo2.png 675w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo2-296x300.png 296w" sizes="(max-width: 675px) 100vw, 675px" /></figure>

<ul><li>A search engine appears below. It works as a filter to find all the activity. Either by Google products or by date.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="787" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-1024x787.png" alt="Filtering the search in the Google search history. " class="wp-image-31812" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-1024x787.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-300x231.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-768x590.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-696x535.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3-1068x821.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo3.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Filtering the search in the Google search history.</figcaption></figure>

<ul><li>Finally, if you continue to scroll down you will see a summary of all the activity.</li></ul>

<h2>How to protect your Google search history with password-protection</h2>

<p>Before doing this, one requirement is necessary.</p>

<ul><li>The activity tab on the Web and App must be active. That is, say Yes below.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="779" height="464" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo4.png" alt="Activating the Web and App activity in Google. " class="wp-image-31814" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo4.png 779w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo4-300x179.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo4-768x457.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo4-696x415.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 779px) 100vw, 779px" /><figcaption>Activating the Web and App activity in Google.</figcaption></figure>

<ul><li>Now it is necessary to click on<strong> Manage My Activity verification.</strong></li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="717" height="638" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo5.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31815" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo5.png 717w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo5-300x267.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo5-696x619.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 717px) 100vw, 717px" /></figure>

<ul><li>In the next box, click on <strong>Require extra verification.</strong></li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="789" height="564" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo6.png" alt="Enabling extra verification" class="wp-image-31816" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo6.png 789w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo6-300x214.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo6-768x549.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo6-696x498.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 789px) 100vw, 789px" /><figcaption>Enabling extra verification</figcaption></figure>

<ul><li>Next, you have to enter your Google account password.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="704" height="631" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo7.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31817" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo7.png 704w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo7-300x269.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo7-696x624.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px" /></figure>

<ul><li>After entering the password, we will return to the My Activity screen. However, all the information is no longer displayed. Instead, a blue sign appears.</li></ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="738" height="882" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo8.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31818" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo8.png 738w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo8-251x300.png 251w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/goo8-696x832.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px" /></figure>

<ul><li>Now, in order to view the history, just click on Verify. Consequently, just add the Google password.</li></ul>

<p>Ultimately, we have seen how you can password protect your Google search history. Certainly, Google is very instrusive on privacy. But with this method, at least we will be able to hide the history from third parties. See you soon!</p>
