after 1 year of continuous and tireless work, the Elementary OS development team has released a new version. Recently Elementary OS 5.1 has been released with the key name “Heda”.

This version has important new features and further consolidates the distribution that had earned a reputation for instability. Well, today we’ll show you what some of those new features are.

Elementary 5.1 Features

The first thing to say is that the distribution is more stable than ever. Since this version is based on Ubuntu 18.04.3 with all the work behind it. Fedora is a Linux distribution that uses RPM packages. It is sponsored by Red Hat and provides an updated, innovative and stable system. How to Upgrade from Fedora 28

It is possible to upgrade from Fedora 28 if you prefer. First, you must update all system packages. Open a terminal and run:

:~$ sudo dnf upgrade --refresh

It is then necessary to install the DNF plugin to update the system version. To do this, type.

:~$ sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade

Once you have finished, you can start the system update.

:~$ sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=29

The above command will download all the new packages needed for the upgrade. In case you have problems with the update, you can add the –allowerasing option to enable the system to make the changes for the update.

Finally, reboot and complete the upgrade:

:~$ sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot

The update will take a while. When you reboot the system. You will have Fedora 29

The Elementary OS development team must be recognized for its effort in offering a visually almost perfect system with its own personality. However, stability has not been the main advantage in the past.
