<p>Hello! Today we will explain how to highlight the mouse pointer and clicks in <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Windows 10</a>. As a result, you can see what you do and where you are. Which is very useful if you are recording the screen. Also when streaming or in local mode. So it is possible to visualize the mouse activity to the viewers. With this intention, it is necessary to go to the hidden menu of mouse options. The same is used to <a href="https://www.osradar.com/how-to-customize-the-mouse-pointer-and-cursor-in-windows-10/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">customize</a> the mouse pointer. Let&#8217;s see how to do it.</p>

<h2>How to highlight the mouse pointer.</h2>

<p>The first thing you have to do is to go to Windows Settings. With this in mind, press the Win+I combination. Once there, click on <strong>Devices.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="787" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-1024x787.png" alt="" class="wp-image-31836" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-1024x787.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-300x231.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-768x590.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-696x535.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2-1068x821.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou-2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Windows Settings&gt;Devices</figcaption></figure>

<p>This section allows you to change the configuration of all devices and peripherals. Whether they are connected by cable or Bluetooth to the computer. Then scroll down to the bottom of the menu on the left. Once there, click on Mouse. Several options related to the mouse will then be displayed. However, just look for the <strong>related settings. </strong>Finally, click on <strong>Additional mouse options.</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="479" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-1024x479.png" alt="Entering the additional mouse configuration options. " class="wp-image-31830" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-1024x479.png 1024w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-300x140.png 300w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-768x359.png 768w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-696x326.png 696w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2-1068x500.png 1068w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Entering the additional mouse configuration options.</figcaption></figure>

<p>Consequently, a new window will open. In addition, it has several tabs. Therefore, just click on <strong>Pointer Options</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="400" height="455" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou3.png" alt="Entering the pointer options. " class="wp-image-31832" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou3.png 400w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou3-264x300.png 264w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /><figcaption>Entering the pointer options.</figcaption></figure>

<p>As you can see, many options are displayed regarding the appearance of the pointer. However, the one we are interested in is at the end of the list. In fact, you only have to check the box Show pointer communication when pressing the CTRL-key. As it indicates, we will only have to press the CTRL key to highlight the pointer location.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="722" height="748" src="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou4.png" alt="Enabling pointer highlighting in Windows 10" class="wp-image-31834" srcset="https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou4.png 722w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou4-290x300.png 290w, https://www.osradar.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mou4-696x721.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 722px) 100vw, 722px" /><figcaption>Enabling pointer highlighting in Windows 10</figcaption></figure>
