Hello friends! Google is constantly updating its systems, interface, and especially privacy settings to improve your experience when using its products. Most of these improvements are usually not well known. Google offers you a wide variety of updates that contribute to improving the security of the browser. In addition to the link, it has your Google account. So, in this post, I bring you 4 Google privacy settings that you should have on your Android. So you can get the most out of your device.

With this option, you can make your browser experience more secure. You will receive notifications of malicious software that wants to get into your device, risky extensions, and phishing.

First step

Open the Chrome app on your Android device

Second step

Then tap the menu button (the button with the three dots located in the upper right corner). Then click on “Settings”.

Delete a Google service

Fourth

Then select the service in which you want to delete the data. Click on Delete and you’re done.

4 Google privacy settings that you should have on your Android

Manage the apps connected to your account

Many apps enhance the user experience when you sign in with Google. The downside of this is that apps accumulate over time and some of them you stop using them. Therefore, I recommend that you disable access to apps that you no longer use.

Conclusion

Throughout this post, we showed you some of the settings that you can modify on your Android device. To improve privacy specifically in the section of your Google account and its link with the Google Chrome browser. One of these settings is the enhanced protection that is not normally enabled but instead comes with the standard settings. Another interesting option is to password-protect the Google activity log, which is important to maintain your privacy. Also, deleting data from apps that are linked to Google that are no longer in use is a smart move that you may be overlooking. Finally, reviewing the apps to which you grant access to your account is a good way to maintain your security and privacy. Thanks for reading. Goodbye!

Google Chrome may not be as fast as it used to be. Therefore, you need to recover its full potential. Well, you’ve come to the right place, at the perfect time. Indeed, we are going to see a series of tips and tweaks to recover the dynamism of this browser. Tell you that Google Chrome is the most popular and used browser in the world, it is not any kind of statement that you do not know. What can be interesting is to know the solutions to the slowdown that this browser sometimes suffers after a while. The fact that the browser is slowing down is extremely annoying and uncomfortable. In fact, it is something we all want to fix as soon as possible.

It may be due to several factors. However, the truth is that by following a series of tips and quick adjustments, you can recover all the performance you had before. Let’s skip the preamble and see what those tips are.

Update Chrome

If we have updated Google Chrome, we are guaranteed to have all the latest performance improvements. In addition to the latest bug fixes and security options. In order for Chrome to update, Google has designed a system by which it performs this action in the background. Consequently, it is necessary to close it in order to enjoy the latest.

In any case, when we need to update, we will see a button in the upper right corner of the browser window. By simply clicking on it, we will be able to update, if we want to. If we don’t see it, then we click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the browser and go to Help>About Google Chrome. As we enter, it will check for and install any necessary updates.

Disable extensions

As you may well know, Chrome extensions are sub-programs that add different types of extra functionality to the browser. Having too many extensions installed or using some poorly optimized ones can affect the performance of Google Chrome. Therefore, it would be best to disable those that are unnecessary, at least. They can be disabled in chrome://extensions, to remove them one by one, by clicking on Remove.

Preload Websites

If we have the system of preloading web pages, this will make that the speed when opening them will be greater. Therefore, we will have a better performance. When we hover over a link or if the browser predicts that we are going to visit a website, Chrome starts downloading parts of it. So if we finally enter, everything seems to go much faster than it would if we started reading it at that moment.

To enable this function, click on the three vertical dots > Settings > Privacy and security >Third-party Cookies. Then we go down, click on Preload pages. In the next window, we select Standard Preloading or Extended Preloading.

Energy savings

The main function of Chrome’s Energy Saver system is to make the battery last longer, there’s no big secret. This prioritizes the battery over performance. It is a system that is usually configured to turn on when the laptop has 20% battery remaining. To enable Energy Saver, click on the three vertical dots > Settings>Performance. All that remains is to activate this option under Energy Saver.

Delete certain data

By deleting your browsing data, including history, cookies and cached files, you can optimize your computer and improve its performance. Especially, if we have not done it for a long time. Indeed, there may be damaged or even obsolete files.

To delete the navigation data, we click on the three vertical dots > Settings>Privacy and security. Now it is time to click on Clear browsing data. It only remains to choose which of all are those that we are interested in deleting from among Browsing history, Cookies and other data, in addition to Cached images and files. However, if you really want to gain the maximum, you should delete everything and in the drop-down Time put All time.

Hardware acceleration

If we use hardware acceleration, we will be telling Chrome to use the computer’s GPU for specific tasks that can benefit from it. GPUs can take care of everything related to graphics. For example, graphics rendering, animations or video playback. By offloading some of these tasks from the CPU to the GPU, we will notice that performance improves. Also, achieving a fluidity that it did not have before, in addition to a significant reduction in the use of system resources.

To enable hardware acceleration, click on the three vertical dots > Settings>System. Here, we must have the Use hardware acceleration when available option enabled.

Reset the browser

Resetting Chrome to its default settings can solve virtually any performance or other issues we have with Google Chrome. This way everything will be deleted. However, we will be able to recover the bookmarks by resetting our Google account. It is more than possible that by performing this somewhat radical method, we can get Chrome’s performance and fluidity back to what it used to be.

To reset Google Chrome, we click on the three vertical dots > Settings > Reset settings. Then we will see the option Restore settings to their original. In the next window, we only need to click on the blue button, Reset settings. From there, everything will be erased and Chrome will start working as if it were completely new on the device.

Hello friends! Google Chrome browser is one of the most widely used browsers in the world. Because of its good combination of privacy, speed, flexibility, and performance. But we can’t claim that it is perfect. This time we’ll show you some tips that none other than Google itself has come up with to make browsing safer. Here are some tips to make your browsing more private. These are recommended by Google, the company that knows its Chromium-based browser best. In this post, we will teach you how to increase security in Chrome for Android. In addition, thanks to a large number of options, you can fully customize the operation in every way and this is highly recommended.

Take a look at the security and privacy section

There is a “Privacy and security” section in Chrome’s settings that will guide you through the basic security settings you need to improve in these aspects. You can access it by following these steps:

First step

Open the Chrome app and tap the 3 dots located in the top right corner of the screen (the menu button).

Open the Chrome app

Second step

Then tap “Settings”.

Then tap “Settings”.

Third step

After that, click on “Privacy and security”. In this section, you will be able to choose options if you want Google to improve your search, how strong you want to set protection, and how your browser behaves with third-party cookies.

click on “Privacy and security”

Perform a Safety Check

If you suspect something is wrong with your browser, you can run a security scan in the settings. This will analyze various points in your browser to let you know if it detected any problems. Follow the steps below to perform the test:

First step

Open the Chrome app and tap the 3 dots located in the top right corner of the screen (the menu button).

Open the Chrome app

Second step

Then tap “Settings”.

Then tap “Settings”.

Third step

After that, tap the “Safety check” option.

Safety check

Fourth step

Finally, tap the “Check now” button.

Check now

Google Chrome Security Check checks for updates, passwords, safe browsing settings, extensions, and software versions you have in case there are any changes.

Clear your history, cookies, and cache regularly

It’s important to clear your browsing data from time to time, not only for security reasons but also for cleaning purposes so that leftover Chrome files don’t take up too much space. Follow these steps:

Lock your incognito session

Whether you are using a private session or not, your browser may require biometric authentication each time you log out of your browser and want to log back in. Follow these steps to enable the option:

First step

Open the Chrome app and tap the 3 dots located in the top right corner of the screen (the menu button).

According to Google, this will help protect your browser from prying eyes looking to see what you’re doing on your cell phone while you’re away. It is only available on mobile devices and is currently being rolled out on Android. Thanks for reading us. Bye!

Hello! GNU/Linux has always been a way out for users who have a relatively old computer. Most of all in those where Windows doesn’t work well. It is also an option for those who care about their security and privacy. On the other hand, there have been other systems that have tried to stand up to Linux as lightweight operating systems, but unsuccessfully. Now, from the hand of Google, comes a new operating system ideal for older and less powerful computers: ChromeOS Flex. Find out what this new system has to offer.

What is ChromeOS Flex?

ChromeOS is a proprietary operating system from Google that comes by default installed on Chromebooks. However, it is impossible to install on other systems. In fact, there are some projects that allow us to install a free version, Chromium OS. In this way we can have an experience similar to that of Google’s system, but without some advantages offered by this system. Now, Google wants to bring its experience to all users who would like to turn their computer into a Chromebook. And, to do so, it has launched the first version of its system, ChromeOS Flex, for everyone.

Similar to ChromeOS, Flex is an open version of this operating system so that any interested user can install it on any computer. However, those who can take most advantage of this system are companies. Indeed, ChromeOS has very advanced security measures. It also has remote administration functions that, in a home, we are not going to take advantage of.

This new operating system allows us to install the Google ecosystem directly on our computer. This ecosystem runs an instance of Chrome, which we can use to browse the Internet. As for the applications, these are somewhat limited. In fact, we can only download and install those that are available in the application store itself, the Chrome Store. Similarly, we can use any webapp as if it were an application natively installed on the PC.

Google has published a list with more than 400 certified devices on which this new ChromeOS Flex works perfectly. However, we will be able to download and install it without problems on any computer, with any hardware.

Download and install

Google has simplified to the maximum the implementation of its new operating system. All we have to do is download it from the Google website. Once downloaded, we save it to a USB memory to proceed with the installation.

When booting the PC with this USB stick, ChromeOS Flex itself will erase our current system and install itself on the computer without us having to do anything. In just a few minutes, we will have this new Google system up and running. If any user was using CloudReady OS, all of them will be automatically upgraded to Flex when this operating system reaches its stable version.

Hello friends! Google Chrome is one of the most used Internet browsers nowadays, and just like Google Photos, there are Chrome tricks that allow you to make the most of it, as it has some features that can be of great use to you such as the mode to save mobile data. Some of them can significantly improve your experience with the browser on your Android phone or tablet. In this post, we will teach you how to use Chrome for Android like a Pro.

Desktop view

Google Chrome has an option that allows you to get the desktop version of any website, instead of the default mobile view. This can improve the experience on some pages that are not optimized for mobile.
You should note that on websites whose URL begins with “m.”, the change will not apply, as the mobile version is indicated by the web address itself.

First step

Go to the web page you want to view in desktop view.

Second step

Then click on the three dots button located in the upper right corner.

Then click on the three dots button

Third step

Finally, click on “Desktop site”

Finally, click on “Desktop site”

Search for text on the page

In case you need to search for a specific word or phrase within a page, this tool is ideal for quickly accessing what you want to find. If you type in a word, it will take you to all the places where it appears and it will be highlighted in yellow. You also have the possibility of typing a whole sentence, including spaces, which will be taken into account when searching for content.

First step

Go to the web page you want to search in.

Change the default search engine

If you do not want to use Google itself as a search engine, you can change it so that every time you type in the top bar, the results will be displayed directly in one of these search engines. In addition to Google, you can set Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or Ecosia as your default search engine.

First step

Click on the three dots button located in the upper right corner.

Hello friends! Chrome is one of the favorite browsers on Android. Many prefer it over the phone’s native browser, which can vary based on the phone brand and your customized version of Android. At the same time, it is one of the first options in the Play Store along with other less used alternatives such as Mozilla Firefox and Opera. Its smoothness is one of the main features, although this can be raised to another level. To do this, you have to access some simple settings and make some modifications, and how to do this to improve the overall performance of the browser. Therefore, in this post, we will show you how to increase the smoothness in Chrome for Android.

Google Chrome Flags on Android

Google Chrome Flags are somewhat hidden parameters that can be easily accessed to make modifications in Chrome. Mind you, they are not visible in the regular settings of the application since, as such, they are experimental. However, they are safe to modify and can be reverted at any time. To access these parameters, simply type the following URL in the address bar, but without the quotation marks, of course: “chrome://flags”. Then you must press the Enter or Search key to access this section. There you will find many options that are configured by default, so you will see that each one is set to “Default”.

Enable QUIC protocol

QUIC is nothing less than a new alternative to TCP, the Internet transport protocol that has been in operation since 1974. It provides a basis for new applications, but existing applications, such as HTTP, can be adapted to use it. Although this protocol is about 10 years old, it has not yet been released in a stable form. Therefore, we find it in the Chrome flags.

First step

Open the Google Chrome app on your phone.

Second step

Then enter in the address bar chrome://flags/#enable-quic

Then enter in the address bar chrome://flags/#enable-quic

Third step

Finally, tap the “Default” button and select “Enabled”.

Finally, tap the “Default” button and select “Enabled”.

Optimize GPU usage

This is another quite useful flag that helps optimize Chrome browsing. As such, its function is to improve the utilization of the GPU, one of the key components, along with the processor and RAM, that Chrome uses to quickly load web pages and their multimedia content.

First step

Open the Google Chrome app on your phone.

Second step

Then enter in the address bar chrome://flags/#enable-gpu-rasterization

Smoother scrolling

This option does not directly affect the speed of Google Chrome on Android. However, by smoothing the sliding, which is also known as “scrolling”, it helps to give a smooth feel to the browser while browsing different web pages, whatever they may be.

First step

Open the Google Chrome app on your phone.

Second step

Then enter in the address bar chrome://flags/#smooth-scrolling

increase the smoothness in Chrome with smooth scrolling

Third step

Finally, tap the “Default” button and select “Enabled”.

Finally, tap the “Default” button and select “Enabled”.

Clear the cache and cookies

Cache and Cookies are data and information from websites that are stored in the browser so that the next time we want to visit them, they open faster. However, over time, these can be somewhat useless, to the point that they can consume a considerable amount of space on the phone. This is how they stop serving their purpose, so it is good to delete them from time to time so that Chrome goes faster and new cache and cookie data are created.

First step

Open Chrome and click on the three-dot icon located in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Settings

click on Settings

Second step

Then tap on “Privacy & Security”.

Then tap on “Privacy & Security”.

Conclusion

Ads are an important part of many websites, as many of them are funded through ads. Not all websites implement them most correctly and honestly, so since 2018 Google together with other companies like Facebook and Microsoft started a Coalition for better ads. Because of that Google included this feature in Chrome that aims to improve how the user interacts with the ads. We recommend you to try this feature, thanks for reading us. Goodbye!

Hi, how are you? This time we’re going to talk a little bit about web browser security. In effect, there is a protocol called DNS over HTTPS that prevents the provider from spying on the websites you visit. Every time you try to access a website, the provider has to look up the IP address to access it. Often, we know the websites we visit and many ISPs do business with this information. However, even if they uses the HTTPS standard, the provider still has access to the website’s name and IP address. Therefore, what DoH does is encrypt the IP address using HTTPS. In other words, it hides the IP address that identifies each page, preventing it from being accessible to the provider. For that reason, let’s see how to activate DoH in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

How to activate DoH in Google Chrome

To use DoH in the Chrome browser, put this in the URL field:

chrome://flags

The advanced configuration options for Chrome will be displayed immediately. Please, inside the search engine enter DNS and then select Secure DNS Lookup. Then change the option to Enabled. Finally, restart the browser to set the changes.

Select Secure DNS Lookup. Then restart the browser.

How to activate DoH on Microsoft Edge

The new version of Microsoft Edge uses Chromium, which is the same engine as Chrome. Well, to enable this technology in this browser, please enter the following text in the navigation bar:

edge://flags/#dns-over-https

Enable the DoH and restart the browser

Select the option highlighted in yellow. And in the menu on the right, enable DoH.

How to activate DoH in Mozilla Firefox

To activate this protocol in Mozilla Firefox it is necessary to enter the browser options. With this intention, please enter the following text in the navigation bar:

about:preferences

Once there, scroll down to the Network Settings.

Go to Firefox Networking Options

A new window with all the network options will be displayed immediately. Please scroll down until you get to the DoH related option. Please check the box to enable it, and then select the DNS provider. Again, restart the browser to set the changes.

Enable DoH in Mozilla Firefox

Conclusion

Ultimately we have seen how to enable DoH in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. This way providers will not be able to know which web you visit. This represents a breakthrough in privacy and security. This is all for now before I say goodbye I invite you to see our post about how to free ram memory in Windows 10.
