No matter the brand of your device, 99% of Android devices use Google services. You will probably use your Google account to store your contacts. It is also almost certain that you have installed the Google Contacts application. The Google Contacts app has a built-in feature to block the numbers. In case you do not have it you can download it by following the link below:

Open the Contacts app. Then select the contact you want to block.

Press the three points in the upper right corner. Then select Block numbers. You will see a confirmation screen. Press Block to finish. And that’s it. You will no longer receive calls or text messages from that number.
