Hello! What we users want most is stability in the system. Therefore, the hardware must work in harmony with the software. For that reason, it is necessary to check the status of the components. One of these essential elements is the laptop battery. Indeed, a malfunction can ruin your work. Sometimes the battery can fail at the most inopportune moment. This makes it essential to know the actual state of the device. Certainly there are applications provided by third parties. However, today we will see how to do it from the system itself. Read on to find out how to check the battery health in Windows 10.

How to have full access to the battery health report in Windows 10.

The first thing you need to know is that we will have full access to the battery statistics. Therefore, we will know if the battery starts to run down. Or if it has undergone many charge cycles. Consequently, we will know the remaining battery life. On the other hand, we will resort to PowerShell. But it is necessary to launch it with administrator privileges. For this purpose we can use a couple of shortcuts. With this in mind, press the Win+X combination or right-click on the Windows button. In either case, select the corresponding option.

Then copy and paste the following command:

powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery-report.html"

Running the command in PowerShell

This action will generate a battery report. In addition, it will save it to the computer. As you can see, the report is saved in the root of the C drive. Therefore, open the file explorer by pressing the Win+E combination. Then, browse to the C drive. Finally, click on the battery-report.html file.
