Did you know that you can theme your Thunderbird? Theming is one of the best ways to customize your system and enjoy the best possible look. It’s true that you can easily go to the Thunderbird Add-ons and get your favorite theme. However, one of the most popular themes in the world is obviously the Arc theme. Let’s take a look how you’ll have to install it in your system.

Downloading the theme

Building up programs from the source, especially from the GitHub is obviously difficult for everyday users, right? Thanks to the devs, they already provide pre-compiled XPI file available for installing into your Thunderbird.

Download the Arc theme XPI.

Installing the theme

For installing the XPI, follow these steps.

• Go to “Add-ons”.
• From the left panel, select the “Appearance” tab.

• From the “Gear” icon, select “Install Add-on From File”.
• Browse for the XPI file and select “Open”.

Enabling/Disabling the theme

From the appearance tab, you can easily enable/disable the theme.

You can also manage the “General Look” of the theme. I’ve set it to “Dark” version.
