Apple TV, which appeared on Roku just last week, is now ready to shake hands with Amazon TV services. In a bid to make Apple TV+ available in as many places as possible, it’s app will now be available on the Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and India. For now, the app is only available on those two Fire TV Sticks, but Amazon says it will arrive on a few Fire TVs and the Fire TV Cube “soon.”

Apple TV is set to launch on the 1st of November, after which the streaming services will be available on all devices. The Apple TV app, apart from Roku, Amazon, and all other Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs, etc.), it’ll also be available on Samsung smart TVs, and would be available “in the future” to TVs from Vizio, Sony and LG, according to Apple.

The Apple TV app, also works with Fire TV’s built in Alexa to allow voice searches for particular shows. Apple has announced 9 original shows, all of which will be launching on 1st November, reportedly premiering with their first three episodes with new one’s arriving weekly. The most talked about shows among these being “The Morning Show”, starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Steve Carell; “See”, starring Jason Momoa; and “Dickinson”, based on the life of Emily Dickinson.

Apps Usability

Through the app, people can also access their iTunes libraries and all of the TV shows and movies they’ve already purchased or rented through Apple. Of course, the app will allow users to sign up for Apple TV+ even if they don’t own an Apple device. The subscription costs $4.99 (£4.99, AU$7.99) a month, but those who buy new and refurbished Apple devices will get 1 year subscription for free.

Greetings, today, we’ll be looking closely at the best apps of 2019 (based on this years winners of Google Play Awards). Better apps, make your mobile, and your life, improve in many ways. It’s not just about games, and clock anymore, the app game has gone to a whole other level, and the level of sophistication achieved is remarkable.

So, here’s a review of some of the best apps of 2019 :

1. Standout well-being app : Woebot

As the name suggests, Woebot is an app which focuses on your mental and emotional well being. The UI is very easy on the eyes, and the app design is simple, yet powerful. The chat bot is intelligent, and it’s not one of the apps you can sucked into, as it has limits per day, and you can use it anytime. It tracks your moods, and keeps all your data and chats confidential. Recommended for someone who suffers from regular stress, anxiety, and depression.

2. Best accessibility experience : Envision AI

Envision AI is very similar to Microsoft’s Seeing AI, with a bit advanced settings, and it’s available for Android users as well. It’s user interface is very simple, which can be easily read by people with low eyesight. It’s main functions include, describing a scene, magnification, recognizing certain objects, reading a document, or even handwriting, although, some of these functions can be a little more better. Still, exceptionally well done, and a must have for people with poor eyesight.

3. Best living room experience : Neverthink

It’ll keep on playing videos, and it also takes voice commands for easier access.
4. Standout build for billions experience : Canva

Canva is an easy to use graphic-design tool. It started with a website, and later developed it’s app which is synced to the website by using the same login credentials. It uses a very simple drag and drop approach for editing, and can be used by both professionals and amateurs. It’s paid version carries more advanced features and templates, but the free version suffices for those who are non-designers.

5. Best breakthrough app : Slowly

Open mobile settings>System.

2. Open language & input

3. In Language & Input menu, you can explore more options like Spellchecker and Autofill options by clicking on “Advanced”. To advance to Gboard settings, open Virtual keyboard.

4. Select Gboard in the Virtual Keyboard menu.

The settings page, as shown above, looks like this

Greetings, in the event of your internal storage getting full, which happens more commonly than anyone would imagine, you can always rely on some tips and tricks. One of the major issue people have is, the amount of storage pre-installed apps take up on the phone. In some cases 20-25% of internal storage is occupied by such apps. And the more infuriating part about this exchange is, almost 70% of those apps are not even used by many. These apps stay in your phone forever, keep updating, and before you know it, consume almost 100Mb+ per app.

One of the more prevalent tricks, is to reinstall your apps, which gets rid of the extra space they were taking due to their updates. Sometimes, an app, which was taking up 500mb gets reduced to a meager 50-60mb after re-installation. But, let’s face it, this process, takes longer time, isn’t a permanent solutionn, consumes more data, and you have to login to all those apps, all over again.

Therefore, the better option is, to uninstall the pre-installed apps. You can also “uninstall all updates” in case you use the app, but only very rarely.

To uninstall the pre-installed software, you just have to follow these steps :

How to uninstall pre-installed apps and updates

Open your mobile’s settings.

2. Open “Apps and Notifications” menu.

3. Expand the apps section by clicking on “See all apps”.

4. Choose any unwanted pre-installed app you want to remove. (As an example, I chose the FM Radio app).

5. Open the app and click on “Disable”.

6. Disable the app.

7. Click on “Ok”. (Note : It is not necessary that this would be asked in case of all apps. Only the apps which have been updated, will give this option)

8. The app will be uninstalled.

For those apps, which you use rarely and do not want to uninstall, but do want to reduce their size, you can easily uninstall it’s updates.

You just have to choose the app from the list, click on the top right corner to reveal a drop down menu, and click on “Uninstall updates”. (In my example, I used the pre installed “Maps” application.)

This is it for today, make sure to check out how to setup USB Tethering, to give uninterrupted and faster internet connection to your PC from your phone.

Greetings, I think everyone stumbles upon a time where they wish they had logged out of their Gmail accounts before handing out their phone to someone. Since Google encompasses the most information (in Android Phones), anyone can fall in this position where they wish they had logged out of at least their main accounts. As the main accounts usually store all the photos, passwords, app information, hangouts, basically more than 50% of your mobile data.

So, in today’s post, I’ll show you how you can easily log out from all, or some of your devices remotely. You just have to execute the following steps :

How to logout from all/selected devices (Google) – From Laptop

Open your google chrome home page.

Select Google apps.

3. Scroll down in the menu, and find the “Account” option.

4. When your Google account opens, select the security option.

5. Scroll down the Security Menu and find “Your devices”. Open your device’s menu by clicking manage devices.

6. Select the device you want to logout your Google account, and sign out of the device.

7. Sign out of the device.

You can do the same using your phone. While using the phone, you just have to open Google, and select “My account” from the top right corner drop-down menu. After that, you just have to follow the same steps to logout from your Google account.

You can sign out from all your devices by changing your password, again, from the security section and then choosing the “Logout from all devices” option. That will ensure that your Google account is not being used elsewhere.

Tip: To save the maximum of your data going into the wrong hands, and for preserving it, make sure you update your important information on your Google account regularly.

Greetings, I think we’ve all come across a time, where we wish we could’ve gotten our mobile’s hotspot to work a bit steadier on our laptops without getting disconnected every second. Well guess what, we can use USB tethering, and give an uninterrupted internet connection to the paired device. It is an efficient way to get internet access on your laptop, as it consumes less battery, and is undoubtedly the safest way to do so.

In this technique your mobile phone acts as a modem, and the USB cable as an ethernet cable. We can execute it by using the following steps :

Note : The speed of USB tethering is dependent on the version of USB. The most prevalent version, USB 2.0 is capped at data transfer speed of 480 mbps, whereas USB 3.0 has a maximum bandwith rate of 5 gbps.

How to setup USB tethering

1 : Plugin your mobile with your intended device : Connect both your devices using a USB cable and make sure they are connected properly, and the connection is stable. (Prefer connecting with the USB port with higher transfer rate. You can identify USB 3.0 as it is usually a blue USB port or demarcated with symbols “SS” or “3.0”).

2 : Open the settings of your phone after ensuring perfect connection between the devices.

3 : Open the “Network and Internet” setting.

4 : Open the “Hotspot and tethering” section.

5 : Toggle the USB tethering (to switch it on).

6 : Wait a while for the connection to estabilish and enjoy constant internet.

Troubleshooting

If you are still experiencing some issues, you can try out these methods to fix your error :

Check USB connection : Make sure that the USB connection is working fine and isn’t getting interrupted. You can adjust the wires, tighten the connections, or change the cable (if it is defective).

Change USB port : You can try tethering using another USB port. Disconnect the USB cable from the port you are currently using, and instead attach it in some other port and repeat the process again.

Disconnect Wi-fi from your mobile : Disconnect wifi connection from your mobile (if connected). For Android users, swipe down from the top panel to disconnect.

Restart both devices : Disconnect the USB cable, and restart both your mobile and laptop/desktop and try again.

Run Windows Troubleshooter : You can run windows troubleshooter by right clicking on your network access symbol located at the right bottom and resolve your issue.

Wi-fi connections, are also extremely unsafe in public conditions. Hackers can access your interenet activity, whereas in the case of tethering, only a short cable connects both devices. Therefore they have an edge over Wi-fi connections and should be preferred in public places.
